Back home, I really loved taking photos. It was nice to be in school and able to brew a potion to develop them, but even that took time, and I can be a little impatient. So, begrudgingly, I want to admit that I like something modern, and that is Instagram. I realised this morning that I don't have a room mate. I mean, I thought I did at first, pretty sure there was someone else there. But there isn't now. Which is cool, it means there's no chance of embarrassment when I'm prancing about just in a towel. But I only just noticed, how unobservant of me.

I took my 'net book' to work and it seems just fine here. Are things still messing up in the Tower? Too bad magic screws up muggle electronics otherwise I would have had a bash at fixing the problem.

I've already decided that the people of this city couldn't handle speeders. They're already impatient enough in ground vehicles.

I still haven't figured out what I'm supposed to take seriously on the holonet television. Is The Bachelor supposed to be a joke? I really hope so, because it's the funniest thing I've seen since arriving.

I'm starting a business, security consultation. I'm from a family of paranoid assholes so I'm really skilled at making things secure and solving problems, with my fists generally but other ways too. Apparently you can wiki me although I'm the new awesome version not the old and even more screwed up version.

I have an announcement! Actually I have a few announcements:

ANNOUNCEMENT ONE: Severus Snape is my hero. Your wards are amazing, the diffusion idea was perfect, and now when the First Floor Lovers get going it just creates a big warm wash over my apartment. You, mister, are a first rate wizard and you have my gratitude forever and ever. Now I've just got to work on using a similar structure for some mobile shielding.

ANNOUNCEMENT TWO: Mr. Tony Stark is almost as much my hero for helping Elaine and me out with finding a beautiful, amazing office space at an impressively reasonable lease rate.

ANNOUNCEMENT THREE: Mallory & Carpenter, Wizards will be opening for business on Monday, January 14th. We offer services in investigation of the supernatural and paranormal, finding lost items and people, protection spells, consultations, and advice on supernatural and paranormal matters. Other services are subject to discussion and negotiation.

Carlisle is arriving!

Things that have occurred to me in the last week include:

• Gainful employment. Sorry protestors.
  
• Learning never to leave without shark repellant
• A craving for the insanely hot chili.

This is no mere foot stuff. Galactic protectors turn red and gasp for water by the bucket load with this stuff, so if I make it right, it should be pretty funny. If people want to give it a try, they're welcome to.

As my dear Molly has already announced HERE, Mallory & Carpenter, Wizards, is going to be opening soon! We have to throw out a GREAT big thank you to Stark and Co for helping us get our feet on the ground. Might as well be proactive here, right?

Fact: From my time, in LA, I'm also a Private Investigator, listed under Wizard in the yellow pages. So I'm glad I can do that here, too.

Everyone is writing so oddly.

Both of my doctors Someone recommended that I try yoga. I didn't know what it was but I looked on the internet and it didn't look too hard and seemed like a nice way to relax which is always good. I found somewhere that does yoga special for pregnant people that is nearby and I went to a class today because they have a promotion where the first class is free to try it out and see if you like it and then you can actually sign up if you do. I wasn't very good at it at first with all of the different moves and stretching and poses because I used to be kind of graceful but I'm not used to being so big but they had breathing exercises which seemed weird at first but I think that they actually helped. And all of the movements made me feel kind of like a noodle and relaxed. It's nice. I'd like to do it again but I don't know if

Star Trek people

How many of you have seen the movie that the alternative universe hails from and are aware of the other universe the rest of us come from? I have just watched the movie myself and was surprised at exactly how many differences there was.

Space People

Since I arrived here there were some advances with Earth's space travel but it is still incredibly basic. I have been thinking, would it be wrong to work with NASA or the other company to advance them? I do not know about you but I do miss being in space. This is the first time in four years that I've spent any amount of time on the ground and while I am growing used to it, it is definitely odd.

Looks live I've found a job doing some computer tech work. It's hardly exciting stuff, but it'll be something to do and it'll bring in a paycheck so I can stop mooching off of SHIELD. Well, they'll still be footing the bill, but at least I'll be earning my keep

I have to admit, I'm thrilled. It's been boring just hanging around my flat with nothing to do.

Dawn, Jenny, there may have been an incident in the kitchen. I've got the windows open to air the place out.

In other news, guess who's finally got enough money saved up to by herself a new guitar? This girl.

After a lot of organization and the kindness and hard work of Mr. Stark and Ms. Potts, I will be opening up a clinic on the first floor of the tower. It will be opening officially the beginning of next week and will also be one of the only areas of the tower open to the public.

It's just me at the moment. But I welcome anyone who is willing to help out, if you have a background in healing or not. Though there is not much money in it, I'll admit, as most of what we make is going to be going straight back into the clinic itself.

Still I'm excited that I'll have the opportunity to help those of us pulled from our worlds and maybe give us the opportunity to help those who were born here as well.

So last week I interviewed with a local pre-school and this afternoon I received a callback for another meeting today. The interview is on Friday and I hope it goes well.

I do hope this works out. I'm feeling a bit restless, and a bit unsure of what I'm doing with myself, and it'll be nice to have something to fill my days. It's strange, not having my sister or brothers here. I miss them so much, and I hope they are doing alright. I've read the books, so I know that things..don't go quite how we expected them to. I don't know whether they're in Narnia or back in London or where they are. I don't know if I'm still there for them, or if they've noticed that I'm gone. Do they miss me? I like to think they would. I miss them, and the woods of Narnia. The trees here are so quiet. Too quiet. But it's winter, so perhaps they sleep.

I suppose I've had too much time to think lately. Too much time to myself. I'm still learning my way around the city and it's getting better- I'm still overwhelmed a lot, but it's going to be alright. I've spent a lot of time in Central Park, and I've found that I really like it there- I can't wait to see what it looks like by spring!

All I'm saying is that some adult wizard with more magical knowledge than I have might want to come help me charm a broom to fly before I accidentally blow up the entire building.

I've had enough of this no quidditch business. How hard is to make a broom fly? And why don't they teach you how in first year? Once again, Hogwarts lets you down with its education standards. Priorities in all the wrong places -- like Divination. Who needs it!
