Second: If you find yourself free this Saturday, I would be honoured if you would accompany me to the charity ball to be held this Saturday at Parker's. I can tell you in all honesty that I am quite light on my feet.

It was quite the exciting bidding war, but in the end I came out on top. I'm now in possession of quite a roomy townhouse over near Gramercy Park. As soon as I find the time, I shall complete the move, and you are all invited to assist me. Not this weekend, I think, but soon. And then, after we've recovered from our Christmas and New Year's hangovers, we shall celebrate my new home in style.

Kamchatka's all well and good, gents, but sometimes a fellow needs a place just for him and his mates. I'm looking for a place outside of Potts Tower to put down roots, and there's a spot near Gramercy Park that looks promising. Should I purchase it, you would all, of course, be welcome to make your homes there, or at the very least visit as often as you'd like. Days at a time, even.

There are times when one wonders if one's grief is entirely out of proportion to how well one knew a person. As for myself, I can say that although I have not seen Margaret Carter much in recent months, it was only about six months ago that I spoke with her, laughed with her, knew her well on a regular basis. As an officer with the Strategic Science Reserve, Peggy was unparalleled. As a friend, she was a precious gem, and I can promise you that no one was more glad for her than I when I discovered that she had made a good life for herself, a happy one even. However saddened I am at her death -- and I am quite, quite sad -- I am even more happy that she led a full life and allowed to man to stop her from attaining the highest position within her organization. Her legacy, a niece who is as strong and brilliant as her aunt ever was, is a good one.

Peggy Carter passed away Monday evening. While the services are for very close friends and family members, the wake, held at [Address. Posh neighborhood.] is open to those refugees and friends who knew the younger version of her. It will begin at 4pm.

Some of you may already know this, but we'll be in front of the U.N. at promply 0930 local time on Wednesday, October 8. We've been vetted by France and Greece prior to this, and today Parliament in the UK has also chosen to do the same. We're having a videoconference at 1300 UTC via normal channels for such things. Please plan on attending if you're able.

This has come up previously, and so I'm going to state it here for those who are uncertain: we will dress as the officials and professionals that we are. That means business suits for all, with a skirt optional for those who wish to go that route.

Ladies and gentlemen, never in recent memory has teamwork been so important to us. We must present a unified front of an organization determined to protect the peoples of this world from the scourge that is HYDRA.

Hard to believe that in a little less than a month, I will have been here six months. Time flies so quickly and in unexpected ways -- although one won't hear complaints from me. No other way would I have met my great-grandson -- and today I learned that in seven months, give or take, I shall be able to hold another great-grandchild.

I am quite, quite pleased.

So the Howling Commandos weren't responsible for the explosion at the Bastille? Colour me astounded. Really, I had no idea.

Sharon got wind of a rowhouse in London that was used as a cover for a system of tunnels. This was pretty common for spies to use during the Cold War, but apparently Buc Winter Bucky's been here before. We're not sure how long ago it was being used for him, or what kind of presence is still there, but I'd like to find out. We'll see if we can pull up some maps to tell us what we might be dealing with underneath, but we'll need someone to go scout the area above ground too. I don't want to go in entirely blind. Any volunteers before I start making nominations?

What a lovely day, ladies and gentlemen. With your help, we were able to accomplish our goal and have taken back Escargot, in all of her French glory. Our next order of business is to put her back to rights, along with Old Blighty, and from there we can begin to look forward into the future and what we need to accomplish next.

In all truthfulness, after the past few months, I believe that we are deserving of a holiday.

Alas, I received notification a few days ago that I've a package from the Tesseract. I'm fairly eaten up with curiosity as to what it is, but it will of course have to wait until I am stateside again.

Unless I am able to persuade some lovely soul to mail it to Falsworth Manor, at which point I'll pick it up at my earliest convenience.

Comrades, plans are falling into place. It is looking more and more as if Friday will be the day which we've been waiting so patiently for. There will be a meeting tomorrow afternoon, at the rooms which I am renting during our stay here.

Perhaps this isn't my place, as to this point in my life I was never a SHIELD agent (despite holding some positions of authority within the organization during my older years), but I must say how proud I am to be fighting alongside you all. The work we are doing is quite important, and ensures the safety of millions of people. Do not forget that those who we have set free are looking to us for our guidance and our leadership in the days that come, and we must not fail them, or ourselves.

It's with a heavy heart that I have to announce that Mako Mori, our beloved Business Manager, will be leaving us soon. I want to take this moment to wish her a very fond farewell and so much luck in the future. She was with me in the early days after I took over the Youth Centre, and she was such a tremendous help that we would not be where we are without her. I have appreciated her dedication, hard work, and friendship so much that this was a difficult memo to write.

Let's make her last few weeks the best we possibly can!

You know, the last time I was able to watch the World Cup was in 1938, in France, a year before the war broke out. It was quite exciting, being there in person for a good portion of the matches. My wife and I attended, using the time as a holiday and a chance to spend more time in France than we'd been able to before that year. I must say that I am quite gratified that it is all shown on the television now. Perhaps I'll still be here in four years, and will be able to visit Russia to see it then. I've never been to Russia; there's always been too much unrest during my lifetime to make the trip a reality.

I've done my research, and I understand that this weekend is Pride. Well, jolly good -- I do mean that. I'm not able to attend any of the festivities myself, but do know that I'm with you in spirit. It's certainly not up to the rest of us to tell others how to live their lives.
