Valentine's Day is terrifying.

Like...seriously. This is my first Valentine's day with a girlfriend, and I have no idea what to do. I mean, there's the traditional stuff like you see in movies. But because you see it in movies I'm afraid it's a little over done, you know? And she'll think it's cheesy.

I could come up with something creative, but all I can come up with is something to do with swords and climbing rocks. There are museums and movies and dinner...but all of that sounds like regular date stuff, and shouldn't Valentine's day be special?

I'm going to fail, and she's going to make me pay. I just know it.

So I've never been one to keep a journal or anything like that. I've got sketchbooks full of drawings and stuff, but never anything to write down what's going on in my life or my feelings or anything like that.

I've been busy, though. Work keeps me busy, and then if I'm not there I'm either doing schoolwork or with my amazing girlfriend.

But today! Today I want to do something fun.

I have a job.

I was out shopping yesterday while Leo was at work, right, and they were doing auditions for models for this store called The Gap? Weird name, right? But anyway, I auditioned and they called me back and they want me to model for them! It's only a few hours during the week and on weekends, since I have to be at school, but now I'm making money too.

And by the way, I hate school. It sucks. They don't even have Quidditch to make it bearable.

Well, that was thoroughly weird.

Apparently the reward for trying to skive off during the Sorting ceremony (because, honestly, let's just be true to ourselves here: dead boring) is being sucked into another world. & America, which is actually brilliant because I've always wanted to go. Floo's a bit less painful than that mess, but you can't win them all. Unless it's Quidditch & you're me, because then yes, yes you can. Unless I was twelve at the time.

Anyway, more introductions & less blah blah blah on my part. I'm Lily Potter & apparently my parents are here. OY, MUM/DAD. HEY.

Leo and I are going to take over the world with amazing force of awesome.

Just thought everyone should know.

You know, the one good thing about being transported to this place is that I may actually get to see one of the things I've really always wondered about.

On the one hand, you have "Harry Potter and the [Title Here]" book series where there's a bunch of kids who are witches and wizards that go to a magic school and learn about their magic and how to fight, life & death, and the moral that having a destiny is a bitch.

On the other, you've got "Percy Jackson and the Olympians," similar title structure, about a bunch of kids who're the children of Greek (and later, Roman) demigods that go to magical summer camps and learn about their powers and how to fight, life & death, and the moral that having a destiny is a bitch.

So. I'm thinking Royal Rumble. Shut up, I'm a writer, I think about these things all the time. My money's on the demigod crew. No offense to the Potterheads out there.

Edit to Add: Royal Rumble is fun fake fighting, like you do with your siblings, friends, etc. Not real. Not to the death. Not to first blood. None of that kind of stuff. This is also not to be taken seriously in any event. Thank you, have a nice evening.
