I think I found what's creating the dark moods lately. Some sort of creature in cloak was down by the elevators. I could feel a powerful magic coming from it. Damned thing actually tried to bite my face.

All right, so my last post.

Something weird's going on. I've been mopey and depressed in my apartment, but after I've been out for a while, it's like a veil's been lifted and I can see everything the way I usually do. The second I go back into my apartment, back to the mopes. This isn't like me. At all.

So I'm wondering if there's anything that could cause something like this? A spell or an object that could be enchanted to make me feel the lowest I could feel. Does anyone have any ideas?

1) I always feel better after some good old fashioned violence.

2) Gaige's Garage. Anyone who knows something about mechanics who wants a set up with another refugee, lemme know. No assholes. Or if you are an asshole at least be one of the amusing ones. No boring assholes.

3) Test subjects needed. If you're okay with being shot at with a 95% chance of nothing bad happening to you, come see me! I have a job for you!

Does anyone know why I just had to use my magic for language comprehension when I haven't had to do that here before?

I have had conversations about hunting - or squishing - with all of you. The dinosaur preserve in my apartment is large enough to avoid each other if desired. There is no longer a dinosaur, and the wildlife has bred abundantly for months. These generations have not known a dinosaur, but previous ones have. I invite you to come hunt there at a common time. I suggest Sunday. But whichever day you agree, I can do it.

I make resolutions many times. It has never been tied with the start of any calendar system. Nor are they for one year only.

$15 for a pack of smokes is highway robbery, you know. Cost almost 1/3 less in Georgia.

Let me see if I understand this right...

You celebrate events far in the past that nobody remembers. You celebrate a calendar determining the end of a year every year. You not only know exactly which day every baby was born on, but you celebrate the day of your birth and the days of other people's every. single. year.

I get why you'd honor the collective past-- that shapes today. But I don't get the arbitrary celebrations of everything that's ever occurred.

Then again, Patryns aren't exactly party people.

So I'm totally geeking out. I just found that there's a three-day lecture on origins of magic, as in the genetic and epigenetic effects of it. Can I just say that I love the geek community sometimes? We will theorize about anything, even if they thought Harry Potter style wizards did not exist before they started coming out of the portal.
