You know, I find I'm rather hungry.

It's too bad.

I do wish they'd keep it down out there. This city has enough noise pollution already.

I have decided I don't particularly care for life in New York.

That man has no business calling himself a teacher.

If my services are needed to help find him, I would do it gladly.

I can feel the absolute terror of thousands in our immediate vicinity. How are you faring?

Out of one frying pan and into another one. Can't we just send Wolverine to I guess I'll just never understand why people do the things they do for power like this. To "teach lessons." You know, sometimes actually telling people what they're doing wrong works as a lesson too.

I've only been here a week, but I've already determined I'm the best version of me out there. Or, is that meant to say 'worst'? You decide.

I'm having lobster tonight. Nothing like getting to know dinner before the inevitable.

I've never much liked having help around the house—or rather, I've never been able to find anyone suitable for the job. However, Ms Adler has managed to procure someone quite talented at doing what he's told without a fuss, and doing it well. Although some of my demands are strict, they've been met without hesitation. It's a surprise, and it leaves me with a question.

Has anyone here made any demands of their household staff in the past which were considered by the working party to be overly-specific or difficult? (I'm not speaking of perversions, so please don't waste my time with such things.)

The Succubus Series. I looked up what a succubus is, but not all written depictions are 100% accurate. Would you tell me more about it?

Imperial Walker and Walking Imperial. I'm still laughing at that one.

I see a lot of people arriving here are from 'cited sources' and are likely having to go through an adjustment. Out of curiosity, if you don't mind sharing, what was your reaction to being told that you're a fictional character - created and written by someone else? Has it created any questions about decisions you've made, losses you've suffered, accolades you've earned, or thoughts regarding your future? It seems like it could easily create a crisis of faith in someone who is devout in their religion.

If anyone has asked this before, I would appreciate being directed to the answers if someone doesn't wish to repeat themselves. Likewise, if it's not something you want to talk about, I won't push.

This place. Busy for a few days and look what happens.

Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Gray. I'm thrilled; you don't know how much I love having complex relationships with other people's marriages.

It's nonsense. It's senseless and detached and surprisingly existential at the same time. I have been poked, prodded and otherwise bombarded with piles of...of useless forms asking far too much personal information for anyone with any sense of basic logic. The staff in suits and ties is a nice touch. Really ties together the misconstrued idea of a welcoming committee.

Procedurally this is New York, but otherwise I'm at a bit of a loss to what exactly is going on here. I have other things to do.

Your arguments are as enthralling as your activities, Potts Tower. Tell me -- for I am new and still learning the way of this world -- your aims and perhaps I will tell you some of mine.

Right so I go to have a shower this morning Because my shoulder is still sore from moving furni and I nearly bloody scald myself -- what's going on with that, does anyone know?

All this fictitiousness about is giving me a headache. Don't you feel transparent? You should. All your secrets are just spoilers now, after all. Or subtext, if you're lucky.

Or that's the theory. Never mind it, really. Let's all swear to be more interesting than our Wikipedia write-ups. I'd be inconsolable if life got too simple.

So sorry; Irene Adler. It's a pleasure.

Hello, my darlings. It was a surprise to me -- a pleasant surprise, mind you -- that I (no longer being choked to death by Colonel Landa) was not in fact dead but instead brought seventy(esque) years into the future to have Raine's stupid cast cut off my leg and so that I can meet you fine individuals.

My name is Bridget von Hammersmark. You may have heard of me. If you have not, here you have an opportunity. The SHIELD agents tell me that in this world we are considered fictive. Isn't that (all in all) a thorough-going delight and an extreme pleasure? Oh, I do believe it is.

I can say without hyperbole that the advancements in medicine between my time and today are amazing. Procedures and surgeries that I would have considering miraculous are now both successful and routine. Skin grafts, facial transplants, the means to fight off severe and deadly infection -- now all well within the realm of mankind's ability. It does fill me with a great deal of pride.

...And yet, and perhaps it is simply because I am so beyond my depth -- but I can't help but miss my own practices. There were far fewer decisions to make, I'm afraid, when one depended heavily on leeches.

It seems I've just missed a celebration in my honour. Perhaps there's a bright side to this situation, after all.

[info]doctor_watson

So. I've spent the last few days trying to figure out the best way to handle the situation-- the situation being, of course, that I spent more time than I ever would have liked essentially being held hostage by Mycroft because of a stupid game of one-upmanship started by my most recent ex-flatmate. I might have done nothing but grumble to myself if I didn't bloody want to be kidnapped again. So, I feel this needs to be said: for God's sake, Sherlock-- give the other one back his scarf and stop being a twit about it.

And Sherlock--the tall one-- thanks for getting me out of that. You know what long periods of time spent with your brother will do to a person.
