Quite rude of me, isn't it, to be here for a few days without bothering to introduce myself. I'm afraid my transition was quite overwhelming. But I feel less shaken now, if nothing else.

I think I shall spend my afternoon at Middle Collegiate . It's been quite a time since I've been able to attend service but there is a comfort there. Truly, from what I've seen of the stunning coloured photographs, churches have not twisted and changed as much as everything else in the world has.

Churches and teapots, I suppose, are both eternal and everlasting.

In an attempt to share Welsh culture with my partner, I recited this poem for Jack the other day. I wouldn't say it's exactly romantic, but I do think it amused him, crude though it may be.

These tourists have been quite odd. I have had a large number of them look at me somewhat askance and call me 'The Master', others congratulated me on my performances in various plays by someone called Shakespeare and a small few recognise me for who I am and were quite interested in what it was like to live in my time.

It does however seem that the man in this world whom I resemble is very talented and I have also become curious about this Shakespeare person. He seems to have been quite prolific. Can anyone give me some advice on where to start with reading his works?

I've decided I like Washington very much - after New York, it seems pleasantly provincial, easy-going and spacious (even with hundreds of thousands of people crowding in for a public celebration!). Perhaps it was only the event that had everyone in such good spirits, but it struck me as such a friendly, open town, obviously designed for hospitality. And it's so clean! I think I'd like to go back in the spring. I noticed all the willow trees along the river, and I know they must be lovely in April.

Thank you so much for the invitation, Sir Percy - and to the organisers, of course! I had a wonderful time.

Does anyone else have a favourite city? I've only been to four, and that's it you count Leeds. I'm afraid I'm not very cosmopolitan.

Well, I do like how my apartment is looking now. My allotment at the abbey, which I intend to turn into a herb garden, has been prepared for winter as best as it can be and must now wait for the onset of spring before more can be done with it but in the meantime I am determining what plants will grow in pots inside. I have quite the selection of seeds, seedlings and cuttings throughout my apartment but I thought, under the circumstances, you might all find this one interesting.

This is houseleek. It and the rather lovely pot you can see was given to me as a welcome gift by Brother Jerome at the abbey, proving therefore that he is a far more hospitable man than the Brother Jerome I know at home. It is said that the plant was brought to Britain by the Romans and it is also known as Live for Ever, Sengren, Jupiter's Eye and Thor's Beard.

I cannot say if it truly looks like Thor's beard but perhaps those who know the man could render judgement. Certainly the plant was once dedicated to Thor as well as Jupiter as it was believed that lightning would never strike a building with houseleeks growing on the roof.

I use it in various salves to treat ulcers, burns, scalds and inflammation. It is also quite useful in the treatment of skin rashes, stings, insect bites and to remove warts and corns. I also combine it in oil with mustard and monk's hood to ease aching joints.

Don't forget! We got a meet-n-greet goin on tonight on the 13th floor between 6 and 8pm. Folks's welcome to come along and introduce yourself. We got a buncha new people this last week, and I just wanted to say that you should drop by. It's a good way to meet new friends!

If you don't wanna come, I used to do these little questionnaire things. I suppose I could start em up again, and I'll answer first!

As we approach the time to celebrate the birth of Christ, it is a relief to regain some stability and order in life. The Abbot of the Newark Abbey not too far from here has accepted me into his community. We have both agreed that it would perhaps be ill-advised at this point for me to move permanently into his community when we do not know how or why I was brought here and whether or not I may disappear tomorrow! It would be greatly upsetting to the brothers if that were to happen and I would prefer not to distress them.

However, I am able to attend services and they have set aside space in their garden for me to work in, though in this winter season there is little to do but prepare the ground for the spring. It is good to get back into a familiar routine.

this machine is passing strange and i have yet to work out how to make it give me upper case letters but i shall persevere. i hope that someone in this new community in which i find myself might be able to help me. i am seeking two things. firstly a church, preferably of the benedictine brotherhood but i do not know if such a thing still exists in this place. secondly, since the garden here is clearly a place for admiration and pleasure, i seek a place where i might grow the herbs i use in my medicines. i do not know if such things are even needed in this place but idle hands are the devil's tools and i have been idle for too long.

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.

-Virginia Potts
