It's a little late it the season, but it's always better late than never. Potts Tower Clinic is going to be offering free flu shots to all residents today and tomorrow.

Also, there will be homemade muffins. Not made by me, because last time I tried to bake something I set the oven on fire, but made by someone. So come for the muffins, stay for the health benefits.

I have been introduced to the films of Hitchcock. They're all quite interesting. I do believe the man has some unresolved issues though.

It'll be low-key, and no hard feelings if anyone says no, but I'll be having Thanksgiving catered at my place for any of you who don't have other plans. They'll bring food and clean it up later, so nobody has to do anything except show up and relax. There's not a lot I'm thankful for in the world, but the lot of you are up there.

I know it's not a holiday some of you observe, but hey, food and company is a pretty decent reason to get together, right?

Today has become one of those -- you know, controversial days. Remembering veterans, remembering those that fought and died - that's important. But I don't think, in 2015 we should overlook the imperial and colonial implications of war, and the crimes against humanity committed by even the winning sides.

So we're right to be conflicted. But wars have always had a very, very human face. And as much as today is about peace, ending war, it's also got to be about the individuals who fought because it was right, because they were called upon to do so, and because it was their duty. Looking back, gaining perspective, it's not always kind to those soldiers, but today, let's do a little, give a little, and support a little a community of men and women that need it and who are all too often forgotten, no matter their sacrifice.

With that in mind, today I've got a few things lined up with the NYCVA. They're be a few talks, and you're all invited, as well as some workshops out at the Legion in Brooklyn with some of the local vets.

Tonight though, I'm going to be back at Sam's Bar, holding a get together for refugees, particularly those who've been in wars or conflicts that aren't known to this universe. It'll be a place to talk, to share experiences and to to remember the people who were important to you.

Is there anyone here who isn't considered a Halloween costume this year? I looked on this internet thing and there are costumes of myself and those from my television show.

I haven't been able to get my hands on the magic-conductive materials I wanted But I've had an idea.

I had another version of my helmet come through the tesseract not so long ago, which -- as best I can tell -- should be a gold-uru hybrid without any particularly strong enchantments attached to it. Ordinarily, this would still be a problem. Fortunately, however, I also have a friend who can sniff out lies and enchantments, and a sword that can eradicate the former from a vessel.

So I think I've found a way to solve our problem, for good. But I'm going to need a blacksmith forge and a large chunk of lepidolite.
