Anyone planning on leaving the Tower?
I'm going to miss Mordin even more this time, as selfish as that sounds. I always respected and admired him, but I didn't know him personally very well. He was working frantically on the genophage and I was always busy keeping up with the broker agents or the scientists at the Crucible. There was downtime, sometimes, but both of us were very good at utilizing it for work, rather than relaxing. We did talk every so often. His work was fascinating and when Javik came aboard I was more than happy to share any knowledge of Prothean physiology I had. But when Tuchanka came and went, I felt for him, for Shepard's burden, but I kept to myself, because others had personal grief and mine was professional and more disconnected. There was a ripple that always made its way through the crew when we lost someone, but...[/Filter]
But here it was nice. Helping with his work gave me something to ground myself right away. And when Garrus and Tali have each other and Shepard and Ashley have found others here, Mordin was always fun to spend time with as the other odd one out.
I knew Kaidan so much more, but it's much harder to accept Mordin's absence knowing what happened in our world. Maybe there's another universe he'll make his impression on, other than this one. I can hope.
I have been sitting behind computer monitors for too long. Training is exhausting already. Or maybe it's just the timing.
I went to talk to Mordin last night and found an empty apartment. Checked in with SHIELD now and he's gone. I've been dreading this day since he got here, but I didn't realize it was going to feel worse than the first time.Goddamn it, I can'tAnyway, check in, will you? I sort of spaced it and didn't think to verify you were all still here while I had the chance. Trying not to panic. Doesn't look good on a soldier.
I hope things are going well for you who are away. Like we all stated on Ashley's entry - please stay safe. I've got a few more things to add to our network in the meantime, Tali. I'm glad we have the project to keep us busy, I'd be even more restless if it weren't for the fifty monitors in your apartment.
As for news, I think we all stand on the same front there so I'll leave it be. I will say, though, that I've been accepted into training for becoming a SHIELD Handler. I start on the 17th, and I'm looking forward to dusting off my 'interpersonal' skills. My only regret is I doubt I'll be able to order Shepard and Garrus around even once it's completed. Still, it's probably for the best. I don't think I could ever tell Shepard what to do and keep a straight face. Wish me luck.
» How are you feeling?
» I have acquired fireworks for you.
I'm assuming I'd have heard by now if any of you were missing parts due to our not-so-fluffy-anymore infestation, but I had my hands a bit full, so let me know if I'm wrong.
Oh, and hey, anybody got plans in the works for a Fourth of July party already? If not, I'm thinking I might pull something together. Outdoors, plenty of food and activities. You can tell I've put a lot of thought into this, right? Don't worry, I'll sort out actual details fast if I do end up running with this idea.
Believe proper response is "Eureka." Combined efforts of Drs Banner, T'Soni, and self successful in attempts to develop cure for mutagen. Fond of color. Have positive results from 99% of test cases. Proud to say side effects minimal, no change of gender or ethnicity in results.
Am attempting to not confuse Commander Shepard with science. If interested in details, would be happy to discuss with like-minded individuals over celebratory alcoholic beverage made from malted grain.
Had almost a dozen of the weirdest, most annoying little bastards* come through the Tesseract last night. I imagine any of you can pull up my full report later today, since there's always a chance they'll come through again while another cell has cube duty. Short version, they weren't exactly dangerous, but they were working up to it. Their limbs are easily removed, which they enjoy doing to themselves, but they keep on going regardless. Separating them from their heads slows them down long enough to trap them. Fun times.[FILTERED TO NORMANDY CREW + ADOPTEES]
Admin tells me Mordin reported his birthday as this Sunday (I'm nosy, deal with it). We should do something. Get out of the area maybe. Notice I'm not being secretive about this. I figured that would just end up a disaster.[*OOC Note: Link is OOC, since he's never seen Labyrinth. ALSO, I'm pretty open on adoptees. Anyone that's fairly friendly with any of the crew can jump on this, but if you want to double check, you can email me at panicstrickyn@aol.com.]
Interested in whitewater rafting at all, Mordin? Garrus would have to wear a life vest, it'd be a blast.
Have been invited to wedding for two scientists at OsCorp. Believe one to be member of 'top secret' group, never seen on floor. May be nothing. May be something. Will proceed with caution.
Plan to write detective novel based on experience. Have enjoyed opportunity.
I hope you've been saving me a spot in your SHIELD cell, Shepard. I'm pretty sure the resignation I just gave R&D isn't easy to take back.
