The Doorway: a panfandom game

'Tis strange, that the Eluvian would bring me here. At the very least, it collected Kieran before unceremoniously dumping me here.

This month has been most unusual. Between the illness that afflicted most of us and switching bodies with my Tauriel, I think I can safely say that these few weeks have been the most confusing since I arrived. I'm glad to be back to normal, and to be able to work at my uncle's forge again.

Oh, yes, my uncle has a forge in the city. Fili and I work there as well, so you may ask either of us if you have need of anything.

Why has no one told me about these?

It is curious how I awoke when I have no need of sleep. That is not the most worrisome thing. The world has changed greatly since I last remember. I do not remember the world at this height, nor with this much body facial hair.

I will say this - if I had to fall ill, I'm glad it is in a place as comfortable as this, and in such kind company. Many thanks to whomever was responsible for the gift today. Truly, the generosity of people in such difficult times is inspiring.

If only it would cure all as well.

Is there somewhere a person infected with this flu virus can go so as to not infect those in her quarters?

Since I have the building, equipment and supplies ready, I see no reason to delay any further. Durin's Forge will be opening for business on Monday. There is still some work to be done on the shopfront but the forge itself is ready for business. I can smith anything that might be required but my specialty lies with weapons, armour and artisan work such as jewellery and the like.

I have spoken to the Stark Charities group and have gained their assistance to acquire a building and such equipment needed to establish a smithy. When I first arrived here, this world was confusing, but I think I am beginning to appreciate everything it has to offer.

Why are so many of your shops filled with so much red and pink? There must be a reason, but I have yet to encounter anyone who takes my questions seriously and can answer them thoroughly. Surely someone must be used to people not understanding this world's customs. How else are we meant to understand the world we're living in?
