Even though it's still a while off, I'm contemplating on what color the bike should be once it's all put together and working.

I think today is a perfect day to start restoring the bike I got a few weeks ago. Though sitting outside and reading/working sounds good too...

It's just come to my attention that there's a presidential election going on, the primaries. After some research, I've made my decision.

Donald Trump is part Sontaran. At least half.

For those who don't know what a Sontaran looks, like, I've included a picture. Actually, two pictures behind the cut. ) Note the potato-like similarities. They're practically twins. Sontarans are also known for their narrow minded intelligence and love for war mongering.

Americans, take my word for it, you don't want a potato-president.

Today's the birthday of the actor who portrays me, so why the hell not - I'm adopting today as my birthday, too.

I like it how that even though I don't have a TARDIS, the time travel still comes to me.

By the way, I speak dinosaur, and every dinosaur I've spoken to is a little confused, but as long as they have something to eat, they're alright. Then again, they have puny, reptilian brains, so they're not capable of feeling any complex emotions. Even the predators seem cool. So, as long as they're not provoked, I think we can all get through this without incident. I wonder if that's asking too much from you humans?

Everybody's going on about dinosaurs, but nobody's mentioned how all our technology has become primitized. This devise now looks like it's made of bark and stone and stuck together with dried tree sap, and you wouldn't think it would work, but it does, just as it should. I find that much more fascinating.

I have a question for the intellectual, technically inclined types among you lot.

Glad this place doesn't seem to do dull. I think I'd get bored if there weren't something weird going on.

This is a warning, you pudding brains at SHIELD or whatever the hell you call yourselves - you have absolutely no idea how dangerous that Tesseract is! Locking it away in some room guarded by baboons with guns isn't going to anything. It has the potential to rip entire fabric of reality apart! If you think you can harness its power or weaponize it, like you moronic military types usually do, I assure you the results are going to be catastrophic! I've seen you humans do this sort of thing before. You think you have it under control. You know who I am, your data base pulled up the Doctor, so you know that time and space vortexes are my thing. I'm possibly the only one on this planet remotely qualified to examine it.

I have not seen very many films, so I am looking for suggestions on what I should watch. What is the one film you would recommend to someone?

[SWORD Leadership]
I was directed towards your organization if I was looking for a job. I was wondering what all you do and what the recruitment process entails.

My name's Samantha Carter by the way. Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF back home. I also have a doctorate in astrophysics as well as ten years of dealing with alien sciences/tech.

You know you lead an interesting life when traveling to another alternate reality doesn't phase you much anymore. Still, it's fascinating that it wasn't some malfunction or fluke from the Stargate that brought me here. I wonder if they'll let me look at that cube...

I love all of the new opportunities that this place is offering me, especially the range of different people I am able to meet. It is absolutely fascinating. Despite that I feel like I'm not doing enough with my time. I suppose with the holiday's fast approaching that is partly due to that though.

Jack & Sam
Jack, you're too quiet. Should I be worried?

Also, I'd love to catch up for drinks with the two of you at some point. We should also do something for Christmas.

It's nice to get signal even out here. I'd like to thank Tony and Pepper again for giving me such a nice view of the city while dangling off the balcony ledge to get some air.

For those of us who grew up on Earth, or rather, a version of Earth - a little under 1% of the static that you see on your television set is a remnant of the Big Bang. If you were able to see microwave light instead of just visible light, the night sky would glow a bright, unforgiving white from the glowing heat of the ancient explosion. The atoms that make up your body are ancient as well, and recycled - so you are as much a part of Joan of Arc as you are Joseph Stalin. Humbling, somehow.

It's good getting perspective.

The liquid intoxicants on this planet are wide and varied. I've become partial to something called wisty. There are many variations. I don't think I'll ever get through all of them, but I can certainl try.

I don't think I've introduced myself on this network yet. My name is Aeryn Sun, former peacekeeper. I look hooman, but I'm not. I'm sebacean although I don't expect any of you to know what race that is.

[info]ex_holyhanna6

I've been through more wormhole displaces than I can even count and I've still never encountered one with this many possible alternate realities in one place. I've also never been to a world quite like this one. Is there anyone that's been around for a while that wouldn't mind me picking their brain? Not literally, of course. Ha. I don't have a proper lab for that sort of thing here.

Science joke, I swear. I'm an astrophysicist, so I'm not technically qualified to pick your brain.

Oh! I'm Sam Carter, one of the new arrivals. Colonel or Doctor, if you want to be specific, but Sam is just fine. I've been told there's a few people here that I might know.

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.

-Virginia Potts
