Mission to finally clean up the living room of all the mechanical parts I could have possibly collected to make something: success! And safely stowed away till I decide to get inspired before the next robot decathlon (for which I have a whole year).

Admittingly, building robots isn't really my forte. I think I'm way too used to vehicles that are 100% mechanical, no microchips or whatever installed in them. Just the usual gears and bolts and pistons. But I still had a blast at the competition. Next time, I'm giving myself a push.

Well, that was one hell of a weekend. Major hat tip to the organizers of the robot wars. It was a fierce competition and a lot of fun. My fellow competitors gave me a run for my money. It was great to see so many awesome women competing.

That being said, celebratory ramen tonight! All are welcome.

[Tony (AA)]
So, if a certain MechE woman were still looking for a job... does that count as an interview?

[Female competitors of Robot Wars]
Great job, all of you. I am impressed by your work. Almost makes me want to start a refugee SWE (Society of Women Engineers) chapter). Or just have lunch together. Either works.

I still can't believe I managed to beat some of these people. Damn. Wasabi, no hard feelings?

Word to the wise: people look at you really weird when you tell them you never graduated high school because everyone in the building started eating each other. Which means I need to get registered for classes and get my GED thing. I don't know. On the other hand, I did finally learn both parts of this duet. Anyone up to play it with me?

Hey, kid. Do you like scary movies? I bought some, and you should come over. If you're not busy saving the world and stuff!

Well, now I'm officially starting to see how weird it can really get here.

It's remarkable how quickly people spring back from disaster. Just over a week and they're already forming mobs.

Sometimes I think mankind's the celestial threat to this planet.

According to the genius of the Internet, I was meant to be a professional puppy sitter.

This is my personal favorite, of all the ridiculous questions I was asked.

Let me just say that for the record, I'm so glad you didn't get sucked into another world. I could say 'without me', but I'm like this place just fine, so.

[Talk-to-Text] Hi! I'm Aang! I hope this works okay, I've never seen firebending used to send messages like this before. It's so much faster than by messenger hawks, and the doctor guy said I should say something. Oh! And this is Momo. Say hi to our new friends, Momo. AAHh! Okay, bye now! Uh.... Send. Deliver. Mail. Uh.. Yip-yip? Wait, no Momo, don't touch tha

Okay. It's been one week since I've been here and I am itching to get my hands on an automobile here and take it apart to see how it works. Or just get back to work which was usually.. the opposite of taking an automobile apart.

Now that my roommate, Korra, and I have managed to settle in and learn how to use this.. hello, my name is Asami Sato. We were on our way to the Spirit World for a little vacation and then ended up here, which we understand can be.. a longer vacation than intended.

This world is, well, nothing like ours. I mean, we have automobiles and the usual city infrastructures, one that my company and I helped rebuild, but New York City isn't like any place I've seen. That being said, if anyone has any advice for first-time visitors here, it would be much appreciated.

Asami are you sure this is working?

It's like a radio, right? Sort of?

Hello people of not the spirit world! We come in peace!

Are you sure it can hear me?

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.

-Virginia Potts
