I think I'll just sleep for a week. Or take a vacation to somewhere dangerous. I feel like that would be fun. I miss going to dangerous places sometimes. I'm such a danger junkie.

Snow is actually rather pretty in Central Park. I went for a morning run and it was just gorgeous. Also decided to splurge on myself and took a carriage ride. Best thing ever. You learn so much, my driver Ariel, was the best tour guide ever. I got to see places in the park I never knew about. Seriously, best non-training thing I've ever done. ( Image behind cut )

I'm glad this cube didn't bring me to some world or so far into a future where I couldn't still see nazis die.

But I guess on more of a conversational bent. You lot ever think of what practices people here are bringing in from television or movies to your respective fields? I mean, I find spy movies and cop dramas as entertaining as the next guy, but I wouldn't exactly use em as a road map for what works in the real world.

What's that mean d'you suppose for the ace detectives or top lawyers or what have you? Maybe even more interesting's the docs.

Searching for "healthy" street food mission is almost a fail. However I'm happy to admit I've eaten more actual home-cooked or restaurant (not cheap diner!) cooked meals this week. I have discovered a like for chicken Caesar salads.

Was fun watching everyone at the tournament, good distraction from day to day life. Makes me miss punching people in the face.

New years and Christmas was interesting in that I've never really bothered to celebrate. And now back to the grind. Or what qualifies as it. Whichever. I really am enjoying finding the best street vendors, although from what I've been told, it's the third time I've been finding them.

At least my taste is reliable.

I must say, people watching at Christmastime in New York City is probably one of the more fascinating aspects of the holiday and this place. Also, should probably thank the inventor of those little colored marshamallows, they make hot chocolate so much better. I may have over done it on the marshmallows, but whatever.

Oh, lovely, why do I feel like it's out of the frying pan into the fire? Could be worse, though. I'm Daisy, and I've been told I've been here before. Also, snow, it was warm when I left the office and now there's snow, at least this is NYC, I know I can find a cheap, warm coat and a good burger. I'll take that over the middle of nowhere.

I want everything we know about yesterday's flash of white. Fesi's calling it a "White Event." But that is coming up empty on the Files. I've got one thing, a reference to an event called the Fireworks in the 1950s in an alternate Earth, from notes off Howard the Duck, so we're taking that with a shaker of salt. Doesn't say much beyond that in any case.

So maybe it's nothing but some pretty lights. Probably more cause it always is. But I want to know what we can expect for the man on the ground. For now Paris seems fine if rioting, which might be its default state.

I'm actually crossing off things to do in NYC that I've never bothered to do. I went to the Central Park Zoo the other day. I even took a carriage ride. Today? I'm actually going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Rearranging my apartment because I'm sick of how it looks. Realized, I don't actually have a lot of furniture that's mine. I suppose that's okay, considering who knows when and if I'll get sent back or not. May as well not accumulate too much crap. money's better spent on cool stuff anyways, like new guns.

Tried to rearrange my mental schedule, no more training all day. I mean, it's fun but I'm pretty sure the people at the gym think I've lost my mind. Probably have. I even learned to cook. A little. I mean more than rice and pasta. Which is nice, since ordering out is well.. once the delivery places know your name and order by heart it's time to change it up. Oops?
