Okay... so I'm conscious. I have no idea what REALLY happened, just what I THINK happened from what I "remember", and they said it isn't real.

They said I've been treated for what looks like chemical burns, I've got some stitches from some cuts and an animal bite, a mild concussion, and I'll be in a walking cast. Better get some good signatures.

Who was actually there? Did I hurt anyone or is that just in my head?

Is anyone I teleported okay? Nobody's missing/lost?

I only needed e more seconds, Commander Spock. I could have compensated. I could have, I did the math, it's... I didn't write it down. This phone is not good with equations. I'm sorry.

Gods willing, anyway.

It's hard to believe how different my life is now from just one year ago. This time last year, I was somewhere in Africa, probably trying to build a fire from whatever wood I scavenged. To say I've lived through a whirlwind over the last five years would probably be an understatement. I don't think about it much anymore. Where I've been, where I was. Today, I'm thinking about it. This Earth is home to me in more ways than Caprica was for the last few years I lived there, and more than Galactica ever was (she was my father's home, not mine), but this Earth is missing things I'll never see again, too. The same goes for the rest of you, which certainly helps, but it isn't the same. I've been trying to write down what I remember - so I don't forget, while I'm here, and so I can really have a story to tell Serra and Kara and S when she's older.

I'm ready for school to start. Mostly because I'm excited that sword lessons is a class!

I'd almost think that I'd died and gone to the Maker and Andraste decided I needed to permanently spend my life surrounded by kittens. Except for the fact that the clinic is still running and I've be very surprised if New York is actually what exists at the Maker's side.

Sadly I can't staff the clinic with kittens, though that will perhaps be an idea for the next world I somehow end up in. The tesseract does seem to have it in for our staff lately. But it's not like I was ever that fond of sleep to begin with. Terrible habit really, tends to ruin my hair. When it's not already been ruined by, well, everything else.

But no darkspawn blood here. I can tell you those stains do not come out. Have to think of the positives.

Home cooked food takes about the same amount of time to cook as waiting in a restaurant, but it's cheaper, and you can cook without people recognizing you and telling you you should date your best friend or go back to your own world. No one starts off knowing how to cook, but the class I'm teaching will not be like Master Chef or Hell's Kitchen or any Gordon Ramsay cooking show. I'm not Gordon Ramsay. But each class we will make food together and eat it. it will be relaxed, but I will teach you technique and first recipes then making your own food. I am Russian. We want food to taste good. If you want it to look pretty, find a Frenchman. But it will taste delicious. If you don't care about my age, I don't care about yours. It's never too late or early to learn.

Swimming is good exercise. The sweat slips off you into the water, and it keeps you cool. I've taught people how to swim before, and no one's been hurt. You'll learn to float first, then different kinds of strokes. I am very strong and can save you if it's needed. But if you don't trust that I can do that, I built a transporter and pins, to get signals from each student who wishes to wear one. I won't need to be near you to safely transport you out of the pool. It's also the only reason right now I am willing to transport people, crew of the Enterprise or not. That might be a reason for some people.

I would like to encourage anyone who has not already signed up for my Etiquette and Courtly Manners class to do so. If my experience in this place has taught me anything thus far, it is that many of the people in this world are sorely lacking when it comes to basic etiquette.

Filter: Merlin Cast

It seems there are a number of courses being taught on the history of the reality as well as this technology. I would suggest they might be of use to us if we are to be stranded here.

Have you ever returned an item to a store and accidentally gotten a job? Because I just did! I took a couple of pairs of jeans back after I came to the conclusion that they were too small a poor fit, and the cashier had trouble inputting the exchange. I'm good with numbers, so I went around the desk to help him do it more efficiently. Lo and behold, his manager had been watching, and he offered me a job on the spot! I think he might have been joking, so I said "I'll take it!" before he could take it back. You're looking at the newest sales associate at the Old Navy in SoHo.

Looks like that Dynasty box set isn't too far off in my future after all.

First off, I cannot tell you how happy I am to not be sparkly any longer.

Second, it seems like its taken forever but I suppose it isn't that long, but I've found myself a job. Now I'll have a break from Arthur. I'll be helping out over at the clinic.

I'm not sure how I got here or who brought me here or why my magic cannot fix the situation but I need to get back home.

I've been told there are others here. Arthur? Are you around here too? Gaius? Gwen?

Is it expected for most objects to be turned red, white, or blue? In the past few days I've seen forks, chairs, and even food in those colors. At times all three at once. I was told it was in honor of this country's independence. And I was curious about how n common this tradition was. I asked a coworker and her only response was that my hair
