Ai, so March has come at last. Spring hastens, and the days will continue getting longer until they are at last longer than the nights. Trees will bud, blossoms will bloom, and animals will bear their young in a cacophony of life and renewal.

It is a glorious time of year, and one that is close to my heart. The air, I think, never smells sweeter than it does in the springtime, or is the world full of more hope.

What do Men of this world do to celebrate the awakening of the Earth after its winter slumbers? I am very curious and should greatly like to learn of your customs.

I got a job! And it's not a desk job like I had back at the Ministry either which means I'm not bored every day at all. In fact, I like it a lot when I'm not dropping dishes or anything like that and the people have all been really nice. No one recognizes me as Peter Pettigrew so that helps. I didn't think it would be this quick for me but it's good so far.

Today is my birthday. Today is also his birthday. You have to admit, the fact that I not only look like him, but was born on the same day is quite weird. But the fact that I was born a year earlier is even more so. Considering I'm physically only 28 now and he's turning 41.

Do you think all of us sitting down somewhere for a meal is a horrible idea or one that will just end in moderate disaster? I'm willing to reserve a private room at this British pub if people are interested.

It has been a fortnight since my arrival in this place. Time flows differently and it feels as if the days merely pass as seconds. I wonder how time flows where I am from - does it follow in accordance with these days or exist separately? I am plagued with many such questions. Have they marked my absence or has life simply stopped?

Should I ever return will I remember? Might I leave a note upon my person to find when I wake at home? A reminder of what was, what is, and what shall be.

There is a saying that 'time will tell' of all things, and yet I find myself remarkably impatient for it to come.

Alice is here. She's with me, she's sleeping. We had a long conversation and I filled her in on everything relating to the war, and how there's people from our future here. The only thing I didn't tell her is our fate. She's coming from the middle of the war herself (August of '80), and I want her to have some time to enjoy herself before being saddled with the weight of being tortured into insanity. I'm not saying forever, but certainly you can give her a week or two of non-war ridden life to enjoy? Also, I'm an Auror. I will find you and hurt you, damn the consequences, if you don't keep fucking quiet for some reason, I'm looking at you, Dorcas

Er, does anyone know anything about how to go about perhaps opening a restaurant here? Or at least working in one as more than a waiter/busboy? Childhood dream and all, and since there's nothing holding me back, why not go for it? If I fuck it up, then I fuck it up.

Right then, with all this talk of Valentine's Day and what have you, I realized I've never been on a date before. Seems like something I should get used to if we're stuck here for now, yeah? You know, if I wear a hat just so (and I can since it's cold as bollocks out there), no one can see my scar. Then if I'm not wearing my glasses, some people think I'm either Percy Jackson or the actor who played him Logan something or other. So that's better than the whole "OH MY GOD YOU'RE HARRY FREAKING POTTER" or something that I get whenever I go to the park and play Quidditch with the Muggles. But they at least have stopped staring. I've been playing chaser for them though, because seeking is boring when you're not playing for real.

Now that we have brooms that fly and such (thanks, Rose, you're brilliant), I'd like to invite you all to a pick up Quidditch game. I called this place called the YMCA that has a gymnasium and it's big enough and private enough that we can do it there. Plus it'll be heated and such so we won't freeze. So if you want to play, I got the gymnasium on this Saturday morning from 9 to 1. We'll have brooms and such, and we can play. Just let me know you're coming. I have to put people's names down on a list for the people at the YMCA.

If you have a preferred position, you should let me know too...

Oh, and Dorcas, I think maybe I would be okay with going to the theme park place. Maybe we can all try and go in April? They're having a Quidditch World Cup down there. It might be really fun to go then, right?

First of all, it is incredibly, stupidly, colossally WRONG to alter another person's mind. Good wizards don't do that.

I mean honestly, do you REALLY think that if you make someone fall in love with some other person as a hilarious Valentine's Day joke, that they're going to just have some smooches and call it a day? THINK. THINK about the CONSEQUENCES of your ACTIONS. LOGIC, PEOPLE.

Okay. I'm just going to say this once. Some of you might think me egotistical, arrogant, and heedless of what you think, but I have to say this. Arrogance and loyalty are two characteristics typically associated with Gryffindors, so it shouldn't be too surprising.

I know we all come from different times and you're just trying to help, but I would really like to have the chance to address what happened with Evans' and my deaths when the opportunity arises. I trust what I've been told about that night up to this point because I trust the word of my friends, so I think I have a pretty good idea about what happened that night. Having to talk about my own death is not fun in any way, but seeing people go at each other over it certainly doesn't help or make it feel any better. It fucking sucks seeing this happen here where we're given a chance to start a new life without Voldemort and that damn prophecy and all of the deaths of people we love during that time. Hell, I know what it's like to get caught up in the moment and go overboard, but I'm trying to change that too, just like I'm asking you to do when you see something going down about Halloween 1981. I know the memories are still fresh in some of your minds, and I respect that and hate that you had to go through that, don't ever doubt that. I can't convey in the proper words has it was never, ever my intention for us to die and I'm sorry that you had to go through that.

Give me the opportunity to clear Sirius' name here. I obviously die so I can't fight for his innocence, and I think he's spent enough time in his lifetime being unjustly branded as the traitor. I fully stand by my statement that he is my best mate and if I can grant him for forgiveness for something that he did not do then I fully expect you all to stand by me - by us. Peter was the Death Eater, the traitor, the mole, the rat - not Sirius. I don't care if I haven't finished reading through the book or lived through it - I don't need that to convince me that Sirius didn't do that because would never do that to us. I know the Marauders break during the War, and if this is how I can fix what happened with the three of us then so be it.

Pretty sure I'm never going to use the Muggle phone device. This other device is at least a bit more user friendly, but gosh is this a lot to get used to.

Is anyone here good at finding lost people things?

I'm used to Big celebrations (trees covered in lights, too much food and drinks that only come out in December, lots of stripy singing socks) but I haven't seen Christmas done quite like this before. New York must use a lot of electricity!

dunno about you all but not doing anything much productive doesn't sit well with me. & whilst i appreciate SHIELD & their desire to make sure that things are smooth, i think that a re-institution of regular meetings would not be remiss. if we're going to be here, we may as well start looking out for each other. info-sharing, training to stay sharp on wand skills, hand-to-hand & other more charitable suggestions are welcome.
