I copped out on my Halloween costume, I know I know. Going as a Gypsy seems a bit silly and a kick in the teeth to my family. But it was funny. And fun. I forgot how much I enjoyed Halloween when it's not ending the world around me.
You know, I was reading the paper this morning and it was covering those murders in the Lower East side. If you've not been following, there were four men killed and strung up in a circle of salt in Hamilton Fish Park.
They say it's part of an increasing wave of violence. And I can't help wonder, if this is some sort of occult murder, if it might not be something we might be able to provide some insight into.
I trust I don't need to mention that salt circles are frequently used in occult rituals, as protective or banishing forces against evil or demons. Though why the victims would be in the center of the circle is a bit confounding.
Thanks....
for the pep talk the other day, and just letting me vent.
Don't you just hate it when you can't find a funny way to say something? Yeah, that's me right now.
Angel just came through the Tesseract.
Am I supposed to say hi? I think
Xander, if you have not seen, Willow has arrived from some weeks prior to Tara's death. While we should not necessarily expect history to repeat itself, she is already asking about her future and since it is so readily googleable, we should probably figure out what and how to bring up Tara's death and Willow's reaction in the manner least likely to cause a reprisal. Although, in the grand scheme of thing, anything that occured since, with the possible exception of Twilight and its aftermath really does not seem so significant to tell her.
This is in no way pleasant news, but, it is kinder coming from one of us than the world wide web. Are you two available tomorrow to discuss this? LIkely with Willow, and perhaps prediscuss it here, now.
Willow arrived, I think that Buffy, Xander and I shall be speaking with her tomorrow. Mind the shop until I can come in, and for now, should she somehow make it there before we talk, do not sell her anything.
As teachers, we are supposed to guide and mentor young people, as a watcher, I was meant to protect them and guide the Slayer. There is so very much to be proud of with these kids--I should really call them young adults--from Sunnydale. They have all come so far and grown into such remarkable young men and women, because of or perhaps even despite the circumstances.
But I sometimes wonder if I have not been part of some great evil done unto them by allowing them to follow Buffy in her destiny.
Hey so I did a whole bunch of shopping and I'm going to make dinner Friday night for whoever wants to come! Family style - a little lasagna and some totally kick ass eggplant parmigiana. Feel free to bring a guest. Just let me know so I can plan for drinks and things. And if anyone wants to bring salad or garlic rolls or whatever that's totally cool too. Fear not dress is totally casual - I will be wearing my brand spanking new bright red converse and Wolverine T-Shirt although I suggest you wear shoes because my roommates kind of a slob and I vacuumed but who knows what's in the carpet.
Around Sevenish?
Would you still like to have tea? I found this neat little place not far from here and they have pretty much every tea imaginable. And then some.
Now that there's a bit less distraction from third parties, you will have to come over sometime.
