FILTERED TO BOOKER DEWITT:
Hi, Booker! Did you see the notice about moving out of the tower? Were you thinking of leaving?
FILTER

I wish people would stop trying to tell me what happens in what is apparently my video game. I thought about looking it up as I was told that there was a lot of information about it on the internet, but I've been carefully skittering around doing so since I've been here, despite the temptation. It's hard to do it when people find out my name (this morning due to my introducing myself to the librarian at the library I've been spending too much time at and someone nearby was eavesdropping) and instantly telling me that it's "totally rad" that I'm Elizabeth Comstock and then start in to discuss plot, as though it wasn't my life.

I'm sorry, I shouldn't complain. And really, I'm not. If I look at it correctly, it's really rather flatter and a nice reminder that the world isn't all like the sorts protesting in front of the tower. But as curious as I am as to what happened to be in Columbia, I almost feel as though that was another Elizabeth and no matter how many realities I might open through tears, I might never be her again.

This sounds a bit melancholy and that wasn't what I meant to do when I sat down and started typing. So... sorry about that! I hope everyone is doing well.

I am rather pleased that these recent troubles are over. As much as I appreciated the extra security around the building to keep out the festering... I mean, pestering hordes, it did make it terribly trying to conduct one's normal business. However, I persevered and have joined a local rowing club. A man must have a hobby if he is going to avoid becoming a despotic lunatic (the Mandarin really ought to have taken note, he might have avoided his grisly fate) and I have had reason of late, since Mr DeWitt doesn't row, to reintroduce myself to the sport I took up at University.

In fact I was so utterly pleased on my way home today, that I found myself singing the rowing song we used to use despite it being entirely the wrong month for the lyrics.

Glorious April weather,
Southerly blows the breeze,
Blade on the feather,
Shade off the trees.
And we'll all swing together,
Our bodies between our knees.
We shall all swing together,
Our bodies between our knees.

I'm not sure who this young woman name Adele is, but listening to her music makes me want to find her and hug her.

Also, does anyone here speak French? I think that mine is somewhat good but as I never had the chance to speak it with someone else, I would like to brush up on my conversational.

I hate this place.

They took Hazel away.

I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.

I don't want to be alone. Being alone is scary.

I was PRETTY sure I hadn't had that much to drink after the whole post-Vault Party thing. I mean, I didn't raid anyone's bags for booze. So how did I end up Here. They said I should say HI and introduce myself.

I'm Maya.
I'm a Siren.

Hey. I heard my friends were here? Gaige? Mordecai? BAD ASS.

Kids these days must be fed a strong dose of stupid. Just because an old man walks down an alley doesn't give you and a friend an advantage to jump him. I don't much care for giving out lessons, but I'm sure they learned one last night.

There was an anomaly with your blood. I need to do further tests, if you'll permit me. I want to get to the bottom of this. Also we desperately need to get food into our apartment. I do not even know if we need sustenance to survive in this plane, but I recommend we make sure we have some just in case. Perhaps I will test out some theories on if we're the same as we were. Alive and dead. I always wanted to do tests on Schrödinger's cat. Now I can.

[Filter: Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth Comstock]
Forgive my intrusion but I wonder if I could possibly trouble you both. I'd like to run some tests on your blood. Nothing too invasive, and nothing will actually be done to you. I would just like to compare there to here, as it were.

I would like to take up painting again. Would anyone like to model for me?

I never gave much importance to birthdays. I was raised from birth but my existence was not to please a loving couple or a single parent who wanted a child for whatever reason. I was cloned from a defective pair of chromosome so instead of a male I was a female. But I wasn't seen as a human being. I was a creation to be used as a weapon. So in all my seventeen years of life I did not think I deserved anything to do with birthdays and the company I was forced to keep didn't think differently either. Even after X-Force it's not like Gambit once bought me a cupcake and it caught me off guard.

So the surprise party I received last night was something brand new that I wasn't even sure how to react. And there is a chance I forgot to say this to a few people so I'm going to say it here: thank you to everyone who showed up. I do not get many chances to feel like a normal teenager, and I feel like this is the first time in an extremely long time that I have gotten that feeling again.

Also, I finally have a motorcycle! It could use some sprucing but that's something I am looking forward to doing.

I've really been enjoying exploring New York! The city is so loud and everyone seems to always be on the move with important things to do and I feel like I'm probably out of place just gaping around. I've gotten more used to most of the sights, thoguh, so hopefully I don't stick out like a sore thumb too much anymore. Things will still take me off guard, though. It's so much more exciting to actually be on the streets than just reading about them.

I really want to see all of the different museums! I was able to go to one, the American Museum of Natural History, but looking on the internet shows that there are so many more. I also want to find the library. There's just so much to see!

Any suggestions on other things to see? I want to see everything that I can.

Got a few questions for the network:

How does a man get employed around here?
When do I get my property back?
What is the procedure for passports?

Hello? I don't know if this is working.

I was told Booker DeWitt is here. Where can I find him?

Hello? Can anyone hear this? I'm afraid I don't know anything about this technology that they've given me. No one really explained it to me. They did say that I could talk into this and someone would answer. I don't really understand if I'm doing this correctly.

My name is Elizabeth. I was wondering if there was a Booker DeWitt here? Or possibly a Zachary Comstock. Or even someone named Lutece. They said no one was here, but I'm not sure I trust anyone.

This is the future. It's odd, I didn't imagine it quite this way.

Could someone perhaps help me? I'm from 1912 and well.. I need some help.

Thank you.

Hello, everyone. My name is Virginia Potts. I'm better known as (and answer to) the moniker that Tony gave me many years ago, Pepper.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the Refugee Network. Tony Stark - as well as many others - created the network so you would have a safe space to talk without the prying eyes of the media. I'd like to give them a warm thank you for their hard work.

Some of you have been here for a while, and as of today, the Tesseract has given us more refugees than it has in the previous five months, and it's still going. I'd like to take a moment to thank the hard-working men and women of S.H.I.E.L.D. for their diligence and perseverance. Without their quick thinking when refugees began to appear, this would have been nearly impossible for any one of us to handle.

And on that note, Director Fury has asked me to pass along the message that they are in dire need for Administrative Staff to help with processing. Anyone who is interested can pass on a note to your Housing Assistant.

Speaking of, there should be one Housing Assistant per two floors (and in one case, three floors). Should you require any assistance, they should be able to help you. Potts Tower is not a new building, but we have gutted it, given it an ARC reactor for clean energy, a full service gym in the basement, an outdoor patio and pool area, and an entertainment area. We plan to utilize all of these areas in the upcoming holiday season in the hopes that it helps alleviate some of the melancholy of being without your families.

Once again, welcome to the Refugee Network and Potts Tower, and I look forward to getting to know you.

-Virginia Potts
