Potts Tower Youth Center is still looking for a couple of part time staff members and a full-time Recreation Coordinator. You don't necessarily need a traditional resume - we're all a little weird here, and unconventional experience is definitely valued.

So, unfortunately the PTYC has recently lost several staff members to Tesseract shenanigans, and we've reached a point where Emma and I can't pick up all the slack by ourselves. I just hate replacing them. That means we're hiring again:

Business Manager (full time)
Someone to oversee the budget, financial planning, fundraising, and accounting. You'll also work with the fundraising lead, Silena Beauregard, which you should definitely consider a bonus.

Recreation Lead (full time)
Responsible for planning and executing programs and events for fun and recreation (such as the monthly Mario Kart tournament, the Art Club, etc.) You'll work closely with our education coordinator, Emma Frost, on joint events and programs.

Staff (part time)
We're looking for two or three more people to work about 20 hours a week. Staff have the responsibility of talking with visitors, playing games with them, helping with homework, being Good Examples and helping as they can with anything else our visitors need, and acting as support for the program leads. This is great work for students, since you can flex the schedule around your classes.

If you're interested, comment here and we can set up an interview. I'm looking to hire fairly quickly so we can get back up to full staff and I can start eating and sleeping like a normal person again. Feel free to ask any questions you want about the center or the positions, too.

The Potts Tower Youth Center is currently looking to fill two recently vacated positions:

Counselor: With Audrey's departure, we need a new therapist/counselor at the center. We're looking for a licensed therapist with experience working with children and teenagers. Candidates should have a degree in psychology, psychiatry, or social work from some universe.

Business Manager: Since Octavian disappeared, we need a new manager of financial matters. Responsibilities include budgeting, managing all financial records and reporting, and working with the fundraising lead to plan and execute fundraising events.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm trying to decide if I want to pay for/install the new sound system or the convertible kit on the Fairlane first. Deciding to learn aikido from Mr. Summers is the best decision I ever made. I like the practice, but I like the philosophy, too. I think I need to learn more about Shinto now, since that's what it's based on. If my gods don't exist here, I guess my spiritual options are wide open.
