Maybe it's just me, but I find it a little hard to celebrate a day for dads when mine was never around.

At least there's Mother's Day to look forward to next year, if I'm still here.

This is possibly the best Father's Day that I've had here, as I get to spend the day with my two awesome kids, Alexis and Noah.

Just when you think the world's weird, it decides to go ahead and give away free doughnuts. This is the end of my complaining for awhile. So. Who's coming with me on my multi-stop tour of doughnut shops in the city?

Is it close enough to summer yet that I can call for a mandatory beach day before everything gets ruined by, oh, I don't know, whatever is going to fall out of the sky on Tuesday?

I have spent the day reading a book called The Alchemyst by Michael Scott. It was... Well odd to say the least especially how they portrayed John Dee. I know I have yet to meet him in my life time but from what I have read of my future life, he was nothing at all how they portrayed him. I understand it is what is called fiction but to do that to a real person, I do not understand why he would do so. Still, I do suppose I will go on to read the rest of the novels in this series.

This being a full time student thing is pretty crazy, yet fantastic all at the same time. I get weird looks a lot when I mention the classes I'm taking to anyone else, even some of the staff and all. But science just comes naturally to me, I guess, in general.

How does this free vacation time in the summer thing work again?

I've been working with Stark Industries for their upcoming Stark Expo. MIND has taken over part of the pavilion and will be promoting the work and contributions of women in our field. While it might seem like a long way off there is quite a bit that needs to be done beforehand.

You know it will become a little difficult to have a standing opening on Wednesdays. Despite the rumors I can't actually eat an entire pizza by myself.

Something cannot be created out of nothing. It's the first principle of alchemy and a logical science to the rest of the world. You must have something to make something. Plain and simple. I've been trying to calculate the science behind this Tesseract, taking down notes and everything from all the information plastered around here. Timelines are infinite, it seems, from every type of universe possible. I can't determine if there's a center point, just yet, to these multiple universes, something that controls them all completely.

....It's so INFURIATING that I can't figure it out! I think I got lost in my research for the past day or so.

Right, so. I've met someone named Kate Bishop, who told me a few things about a group called the Avengers. Guessing that might be up my ally a bit. You know, protecting people and that sort of thing. How do I go about getting involved? What do you guys want to know?

Hello. I am Maka Albarn. Apparently a new addition here. I would ask if my friends have been seen, but apparently they're not here. They're efficient in keeping track, at least. I suppose that is a good thing.

I thought I had seen a lot of things in my time. But I cannot get over your sun. Its so bland. not sentient at all. Never thought I'd miss seeing the sun laughing down at us all. I'm guessing your moon also isn't sentient? Makes me wonder what else is different here.

Would anyone care to spar? Since arriving here I feel as though I'm slacking off in my training to keep my abilities sharp.

This Tesseract is a gateway with a seemingly limitless amount of energy capable of linking worlds with advancements so great you can prepare food instantly while sifting through thousands of books in the palm of your hand. And yet, with all of these rewards of science, not a single damn automail mechanic is to be found. Some world.

Those uniformed dogs said it'd be in my best interest to broadcast my arrival, so here I am, Edward Elric at your service.

To the one who offered to give me my hand back, I did not ask you your name, and for that I apologize. I am called Nelyafinwë Maitimo Russandol, but you might call me Maedhros.

I have considered your offer, and have very much decided that I should like to do it. Though, I am unsure how I shall go about regaining use of a hand I have not had in so long. Especially given that it is not indeed mine.

I have grown accustomed to being without it, after all. Five hundred years and it scarcely crosses my mind anymore. But I would like to be whole again.

And so, what should I expect? Will I feel my fingers? Will I know that it is there, or shall I only know it when I look at it?

I need a mechanic. Mine's in another world again, and it turns out those stupid automatic doors on the subway close a lot harder than I thought. Winry'd kill me if she saw the fingers on this thing. Kind of tired of running around with just one usable hand again.
