The Doorway: a panfandom game

This "Fashion Week" brings back memories. I went to such events with Gaius, years ago, when he was invited to come and bring a "plus one". Before actually going to one, I thought they were a parade of human decadence. I found instead that they showcased great artistry. And Gaius did enjoy how such works looked on me. I've accepted an invitation to attend this world's version of those fashion shows and be dressed by one of the designers. I'm told that I (as a "character") was an inspiration for the design.

On another note: there is no truth whatsoever to the tabloid report.

As of the 3rd, I've finished my SHIELD training. I look forward to working with those of you who also work for them, although it won't be within a cell as I'm not an agent. I believe there's another two weeks until training finishes for someone I'll have more reason to work with, a "Radical Edward"?

I had to tell my wife to hang onto her panties today because I'm finally considering putting my brain into use, and she punched me.

Think I'll be using that phrase on her more often.

It's interesting how they say they're celebrating labor today, but it's only the people with desk and government jobs who seem to have it off.

Physical body restored (83% functional [problems pertain to neural net, not body]).

Neurological checks will continue processing (15 minute intervals).

You can find some terrific stuff at Goodwill. I passed on the backpack - my leg's not up to that, not yet. But everything I needed to stuff into a Jeep for a four-day low-impact trip, I was pretty much able to find in one spot. Nice not to have to hobble around.

I'm going up to Eagle Lake for the weekend. I wish it was to hike, but I'll settle for driving for now. It would be a shame not to be in shape for snowmobiling, wouldn't it?

Not sure either of us knows what baby-proofing even means, so we (well, I know I am) are open to suggestions.

FILTERED TO SHIELD (both personnel and trainees) AND BSG:

For those of us in SHIELD training who are experiencing the recent phenomenon, does SHIELD wish us to still attend our scheduled sessions? I'm concerned that it will be disruptive and disturbing to other people if they witness what is currently following me.

If, however, it is desired that we adhere to the training regiment, I will of course be there as expected. I suppose it could be a good stress test to see if people can still complete their assignments while certain things are playing out around them.

Please let me know. I am not asking to be given leave; I'm able to work through this difficulty. My concern is for those around me.

Godsdamn frakking engines

I'm frakking done.

Time is running out if you want to learn how to fly a plane with me ... and a spaceship (Godsdamn, Tesseract). I'm not forcing you but rumor has it I'm good and if you want to be good, you'll sign up. If you don't want to be good, there are some other old viper jocks around here that can tell you all their sadsack tales of glory days. Really though, who gives a frak about that once you slide into the cockpit and go.

So think it over. I won't kill you ... too quickly. And maybe if you're good enough ... well. We won't go there yet. Let's see what you're made of first and foremost. Then we can talk about good enough. Because you might be good enough to fly but then again, you might be good enough to mop the hangar. We just have to see. And I'm not going to put anybody up in the air unnecessarily. So get ready to prove yourselves.

And surely Moya feels the same so don't go looking to her for comfort.

Am I correct in thinking that a wedding ceremony here isn't that much different from one back home? Because I got invited to a wedding on 17 August that will be taking place at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. I've also been told that if I want to bring a guest along I am more than welcome to do so. So anyone want to come to a wedding and reception with me?

Classes start soon. I haven't been to an actual class since my last year at Hogwarts. I find myself looking forward to it. Is that weird? The back to school shopping for supplies has been fun.

There's something about making this potion that makes me so happy and feel like I made the correct decision into going into potion making as a career.

Anyway he burnt mine today and now he won't come out from the corner of the counter, facing (I think it's his face) the wall. He's a self-punishing toaster.

...And it's making a sound like a wounded puppy.

I was talking to Lee, and he was talking about going back to where he had settled on our Earth, but he said it was expensive.

I know, Kaylee, you said we couldn't do space flight here, but it couldn't be hard to build a ground transport ship, like the airplanes they have here, right? Could that be a cheaper alternative?

How do you guys get used to there being so many people around? We're like fucking ants, just everywhere.

So to keep myself entertained I've started to work on a car that can float in the sky. I haven't got far yet but Andrew might be able to help me which is great. Anyone else want in? I mean it can't hurt to have to many people working on it right?

I'm about to complete week 3 of my SHIELD training.

I appreciate the additional security that we have been offered here in light of the attacks. I don't believe the presence of the protestors is what makes such measures necessary. I, for one, have heard far worse things here from people who aren't a part of that crowd. I'm not a toaster

With that said, there's an aspect of the security that I wonder about. I assume that ground floor stairway access is a necessity for fire safety. Are there retinal scanners to access the stairwells?

And for those of us with a somewhat... different relationship to computers, is there anything we should be aware of regarding how these scanners function?

I wonder if the protesters would go away if we made cupcakes or cookies for them? I mean, I guess it's easy to understand why they're upset. It's kind of strange, the way we're arriving here like this.

Maybe instead of avoiding them, we need to engage them. Talk to them. Let them know that we're people too, and a lot of us are scared people who just want to go home. Or...stay here, but not hurt anyone.
