Yesterday, I purchaed a curious antique at Widdershins, an beautifully carved green man sculpture. It reminded me of my days in Hertfordshire. The church my family attended had simularly ornate stonework. At 25% off, it was too tempting not to pass.

I must say, that I continue to be deeply concerned about the state of my country. How can I not? The ruddy Nazis continue to blockcade Britain with their battleships and submarines. Not only food, but clothing is being rationed. At least, there hasn't been any air raids since May, but it's little consoluation with so many dead and wounded, more homeless. Prime Minister Churchill's requests for aide from the United States is being debated and only needs your president's approval. If there was only more that could be done.

To give you an update regarding the officer who was taken hostage - when May and I arrived on scene and he'd been KIA. Other officers on scene reported that the so-called "Devil" the news is talking about was the perpetrator, and we weren't able to find evidence to see which way he'd gone. Thanks to the blackouts due to the explosions, I wasn't able to retrieve any footage.

Everybody picked a hell of a time to be on vacation.

I'm not about to sit on my hands, and I'm going to assume someone's going to need them somewhere, so I'm putting an extra pair of hands on the table. Where can I be the most help?
