I'm reinstating the protestor skirting trick from last time around.

Had to go back to the tower for our work clothes and lo and behold they are back, this bunch looks worse that last time.

I'm also thinking its time to postpone the microwave soup up and work some magic on those fans we found. Maybe we can up the speed a bit to make the apartment less of an oven?

Is everything ok? I'm still at the salvage yard wrapping up my shift but its all anyone is talking about since my boss is playing the news as we speak.

I'm booking us a hotel room for the weekend.

With no AC from what I'm hearing and with what I know about you power wise I think we have reason to run for the hills to borrow the expression. I would say whoever gets in first grabs a couple of days worth of clothes, the petty cash to cover the room and takeout and the major notebooks (both our idea journals and the mech research notebook especially)?

Plus I'm also worried, still at the yard but can meet you pretty much anywhere. As for a possible alibi/cover story we can be NYU students who are without AC in their shared co-opt apartment and thanks to the holiday it can't be fixed until sometime Monday (unless you have a better idea)?

I have the strangest feeling that I'm becoming well-adjusted here. Given time I fear I may even become... normal. Maybe I'll actually remember to act human then. My sleep schedule's still off.

Work was interesting today, I still think this one customer is out to build either the mother of all mousetraps or is simply bored and will not admit it.

But now its time to unravel my own puzzle: classes with a goal of being in university by the holidays while juggling a job that has become one of the high points of being here. Because at the yard I'm just Violet, I like that.

One possible answer to a mystery: while you were on lunch the older gentleman I nicknamed Dr. Science was back. Turns out from what I could discover he's either a science teacher or works at one of the museums, that has to explain some of his last few requests?

But I'm ready to return to Operation: Microwave since I think we may be onto something. What if we simply upped the speed of the heater? Might work on soup at the very least. But how would it work on other dishes?

Since we're both off for a change tomorrow maybe its time for some fun outside the apartment? :) Because all that talk of a subway shark has me thinking there has to be more out there (yes I know its a movie but its crazy enough to be fun). I also recorded those two fake shark documentaries from Discovery.

I also did something sort of stupid in hindsight, I flipped through another book from my source.

I'm about to sound very irrational but please touch base since I'm not at the yard till this afternoon? It looks like the cube went grab happy and yes, I'm officially getting worried.

Because I'm scared to admit this but I'm scared of losing you.

1709 is now ours, word must have come while we were at the movies! Now comes the not so fun part: packing up all our in progress projects, tools and everything else.

Plus I think given our projects among other things we should consider warning people in case of more noise than usual.

Offically moving to 1709, Reed and I got the 2 bedroom. But I'll still visit :)

As per our ongoing discussions here's some of the more promising options for a possible inter tower move. All 2 and 3 bedrooms given the piles of tools, parts and prototypes among other things we have collected so far. But given all the talk of people moving I'm also willing to keep an eye out in case more units go up for grabs over the next couple of weeks.

I'm staying, salvage yard pay can't cover the rent after all. And to be honest not having to run is powerful after everything.

If the roomie decides to split you have dibs on moving in with me if you want. Because on our pay moving is not exactly an option at the moment and in spite of recent events (but we have become very good at ducking protestors) this is the most reasonable option. Especially since as you reminded me I can finally stop living on the run.

But I would be open to ideas for possible escape hatches.

Nightmare is over! Want to go to the junkyard and see if we can find those parts that our project is missing? But should I go to work tomorrow or just wait till my regular shift on Wednesday?

I'm also sorry about the vanishing act last night, I was helping out in the clinic till early this morning.

The nightmare of the last few weeks is finally over (and quite happily so) and I'm ready to go back to reclaiming my life post Olaf. That also includes going back to the salvage yard either tomorrow or Wednesday.

It may be over for now but recovery will be long and painful, the work never really ends and I plan on doing my part to lend a hand even now.

I know you'll tell me I should not go to work in the morning given everything going on. But I'm in the middle of a major build at the yard and will only be gone for the morning. But I was thinking in case I have to make an early exit I'll use the code about finding the needle nose pliers?
