I can't tell if it's the weather or moralising that's more suffocating. Much like the indeterminable difference between cries for attention and cries for help.

Where are you, boy who cried Woolf? I'm bored. Which is dangerous for you, but you can decide in which way.

I don't know what's going on, but whatever it is -- it's your fault.

So. I've spent the last few days trying to figure out the best way to handle the situation-- the situation being, of course, that I spent more time than I ever would have liked essentially being held hostage by Mycroft because of a stupid game of one-upmanship started by my most recent ex-flatmate. I might have done nothing but grumble to myself if I didn't bloody want to be kidnapped again. So, I feel this needs to be said: for God's sake, Sherlock-- give the other one back his scarf and stop being a twit about it.

And Sherlock--the tall one-- thanks for getting me out of that. You know what long periods of time spent with your brother will do to a person.

I'm going to Georgia and I'm finding Julie Plec. And if she's not there I'm going to California and finding her. Expedia.com is the best place for finding flights, right?

War Veterans Meeting

So I've got two announcements for you gents and ladies.

I've been in some talks with the folks over here at the Legion, (Post #398) because I thought we might get on well with those old boys and take up a few seats during their impromptu Jazz nights. With $5 beers and $8 dinners I really don't think a one of us should refuse -- so they're be expecting us to pop in from time to time. I know I plan to make it one of my usual haunts, no word of a lie.

Originally, I was thinking we could just go there for our Veterans nights, -- but, being a "refugee" and seeing that we're all from different backgrounds and battles, I though we ought to meet apart from the Legion, just so's we aren't imposing too much, and because I know not all of us fought in American wars.

With that in mind, I did some looking around, fell upon The Clover Club and thought that might be right for us. They take Reservations Sunday-Thursday, so I booked us in for April 11th.

Hope to see you.

Hi so I know we talked about a film club of sorts, and then I thought "why not start it out with something extra cool?" And that means ... Jurassic Park 3D IMAX. You know you want to.

This might be in small part due to I didn't get a chance to see it in the big theater let alone in something this big. Lincoln Center has the best IMAX. I thought we could go to the late night one at 10:25 tomorrow night. Who wants to go?

TEXT TO SHERLOCK HOLMES (ELEMENTARY):
» I hope you and Joan are having a nice holiday.
» Are things going alright with you?

GROUP TEXT TO SHERLOCK HOLMES (BBC) AND GREG LESTRADE:
» What are the two of you up to for the holiday? Care to come down for a bit later on?

TEXT TO ELENA GILBERT (CW):
» Happy Easter :-) Care to come over later on? I'm having Sherlock and Greg from upstairs over. This flat sorely needs some company.

Anyone else thoroughly disgusted with the dentist in Oklahoma who got caught using dirty instruments and exposing his patients to HIV and Hepatitis C? As if people weren't already scared of health care, why not throw in fear of careless idiots having a license. Saving time and money by not bothering to properly clean instruments is simply lazy and selfish.

I've got to say, the 67th Precinct on 233 W 10th St is actually real nice.

Even at 3 o'clock in the morning.

For a minute there, I almost felt like I was at home.

I went to Bach's B Minor Mass on Saturday - alone, of course, not that I wanted the company, obviously - and when the idiot beside me whipped out his mobile during the Sanctus to try to get a picture of me reading my program, I hoped, for a moment, that a decidedly unexceptional panel of vocalists was about to be livened up. The same conductor, after all, stopped Mahler's 9th last year for nothing more than a ringtone, so one would have thought that flash photography and the harassment of a third-row patron would have been enough to suspend operations for a few moments of well-directed shaming.

Instead, the show went on and the Klonopin-addicted socialite in the second row turned around to shush me when I told my neighbour exactly what he could do with his camera phone.

I confess I had higher expectations for Mr. Gilbert. I had expected something like a kindred spirit.

Now I've been thinking.

Seems quite a few of here have a war or two behind us. Now, I know things might be different for some folks, that their wars ain't ours, but I don't think that ought to matter a bit. I think what's important, if anything, is that we've a place. Maybe to talk, maybe to not, but certainly a place for all of us to get on together with those shared experiences, be them bad or worse.

So I'm supposing I'm proposing a veterans club, maybe find a nice smoking room that'll put us up monthly like.

So we have a book club and a LGBT club and probably any manner of clubs I don't know about yet, anyone in for film festivals or something like that?

TEXT TO JOAN WATSON:
» Since apparently my name is shit right now to Sherlock, just . . . make sure he doesn't do anything stupid?
» Which I know you know. I just don't know how much he's telling you.
» If he really does want to move out, I can help pack up some of his things and bring them to you.

TEXT TO GREG LESTRADE:
» Got any plans for this evening?

TEXT TO JOHN WATSON:
»The fair sex is your department
» Isn't it?
» I have a question
» But it's about a woman
» Not a little girl
» Thus I may look elsewhere
» Still, a question.

network post: archibald hopper/jiminy cricket

I would like to thank Mr. Anders, for welcoming me to the clinic on the ground floor. The place looks wonderful, far more modern than my office in Storybrooke. I've set up my office well enough for what I need, which isn't much. I'm a therapist, with a medical degree and doctorate from a curse with decades spent helping people. If you'd like help or just someone to talk to, please come by. I can schedule appointments Monday - Friday (8:30, 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00) and have reserved an hour before and after for walk-ins. You can walk in any time, if I'm not with a patient. On the weekends, I'll be around in the mornings as well.

All help is confidential. You can reach me on this network, by phone, text, email, or in person in the clinic.

TEXT TO GREG LESTRADE:
» You're still asleep.
» You do know you're too old for this?
» There's one of you running around. Disgustingly fresh-faced.
» Are you still asleep?
» You would have liked this woman yesterday, I think
» I'll tell you about her
» When you drag your bones out of bed
» If you ARE in bed
» We're out of coffee

TEXT TO JOHN WATSON:
» Thank you for coming along yesterday
» That was fun, wasn't it?
» You had fun.
» What are you doing tonight

[FILTERED TO MEDICAL STAFF]

I was wondering if one of you might be able to help me catch up on the medical advancements of the last ninety years? I graduated from Trinity College in 1918, and while I graduated with honors and was well respected in my time (I even got a job with a prestigious teaching hospital in England), it's been a long time and there's just a lot I don't know anymore.

I appreciate any help you might give me. I've tried reading some journals online, and they're just well beyond what I learned. But antibiotics are incredible. Absolutely stunning. What I would have done to have something that could stop infection so efficiently...

[/FILTER]

If nothing else, at least medicine's advanced a lot since I studied it.

They said I should introduce myself so here goes. My name is Mary Russell. I'm 22, I was pursuing further studies at Oxford University to become a Theologian and I am the partner and wife of Sherlock Holmes. I suppose those are the important things to know. I must say that as strange as it is to find myself here, I do like the modern fashions. It will be very nice to wear trousers all the time.
