I was walking through the lobby this afternoon and noticed the pet adoption drive. I couldn't help but stop and I ended up taking these two lovely littie ladies home with me. Elizabeth, we'll have to think of names for them!

It seems that I have found myself a job. I will be running Pepper's Closet in the lobby of the Tower. I have never had a job before, this should be quite the adventure. I would also like to say that I rather enjoyed our visit to the Botanical Gardens the other day. The orchids were lovely.

I have searching for a means of employment for several weeks but have had no success. I noticed that there is a clothing shop downstairs that appears to be closed. I would be interested in working there as I do enjoy fashion even if this world is a bit different. However I don't comprehend the currency of this time. Is there anyone who would be interested in helping me? If so, who should I contact about taking this on?

I am beginning to adjust to this place although it still seems very odd. At least I can use this machine now thanks to Lady Inara who showed me how it works.

Though I am very far out of my own time, I am grateful that my daughter is here with me. Were I still at home, I would be dead now and I wouldn't have been able to see Elizabeth grow up. Now we're together and I can see what a beautiful young woman she has become. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity to spend time with her.

Now I find that I must find some means of employment. I know nothing about working. I have been a lady in waiting and a queen. Neither of those professions exists here so what am I to do? I would be wiling to consider any suggestions.

Is there someone here who specializes in helping people find work that matches their skills, or determining what kind of work they should look for? I've seen frequent requests for help with that, and I know I need help with that myself.

I do not like this place. It is too loud for me. I do not understand much of this. I have been told I am to attend classes here with many tutors. My supervisor is Anne Blythe? I admit I do pray that these classes will help me understand this world better but I am not sure if I could ever like it.
