I don't know what's wrong with Mary Margaret, but I need one of you to take Neal for the night. It's like she's depressed out of nowhere. Regina, have you sensed any sort of strange magic happening around the Tower?

I had a few people quit at the Barking Lot, so we're down a few people to walk and play with the dogs, clean up, and generally just hang out with me, Neal, some dogs, and be awesome. If you're interested, come see me. No experience is necessary, but a love and healthy respect for dogs of all shapes, sizes, and breeds is pretty much necessary.

Don't plan anything for the youth center for Valentine's Day weekend. We're going away for something that might resemble a honeymoon, since that's not something we ever actually had. If at all possible, we're finding someone to watch Neal, and it's going to just be me, you, and a beach in South Carolina.

Mary Margaret are going away for Valentine's weekend. I know it's relatively short notice, but we would really appreciate it if someone would be able to take Neal for that weekend. You would be compensated, and can stay in our apartment or yours, whichever one you prefer. In any case, I believe she deserves a weekend away with her favorite guy (that would be me), so I would personally appreciate any help we can get on this. Thanks.

This is how a Sunday is supposed to be, especially after getting my ass handed to me in a fighting tournament. Shale, you were a worthy opponent. Congratulations.

So I got caught up on the show. I just want to let you know that I'm damn proud of you, and I love you. Any time you want to come over to watch How It's Made with your old man, I'll have the popcorn and hot cocoa waiting.

For some reason I've decided that I'm better off not watching my show every week, and focusing on my life here. It's a good life, with most my favorite people here, which obviously colors my opinion. I wish Henry would show up, but I'll keep hoping and one day he will. It's a bit of a family tradition: we always find each other.

I discovered on Thursday that the expectations I had for how a baby will enjoy Christmas are wildly different than how they actually DO enjoy it. I had all these visions of him impressed with the wrapping paper and the lights and the tree, and Neal did enjoy the lights and the tree and the music, but he could not care less about the paper and the boxes. Mainly he slept through the unwrapping of presents. Next year, I guess?

Because this game is massive, and even if every character just sent ONE package to anyone, it would end up being so many posts that it would overrun the game. Whoa. Gives new meaning to stars in their eyes. One of the comments says "This is the reincarnation of Heimdall. Heimdowl." I'm pretty bowled over by this.

They've apparently discovered what happened to Amelia Earhart's plane. I guess we've known for a long while now that she never made it to her destination, but it's still sad to find evidence of that. I guess I'd always had a little hope that they'd actually been abducted by aliens and brought to another planet, along with a bunch of other people from 1937. Like they said on Star Trek: Voyager.

I was approached by a few of the local dog shelters about holding an adoption event at the Barking Lot, probably sometime in December. I think it's a good idea, so if you're thinking about adopting a dog, this would be a great place to start. I'm also going to insert the fact that if you're adopting a pet for someone else for Christmas, thing really long and hard about your relationship and how you see it going. Pets are like children, you can't just adopt a dog and then because you break up decide to take it back to the shelter. It's cruel. You wouldn't treat a child that way, so why do it to an animal. So just think about that this year, if that's what you've got planned.

Hey, so, the Barking Lot has a few openings if anyone has a dog that needs to be watched during the day. And we're also looking at setting up a few kennels, in the case of someone going out of town or other reason.

I also have my eye on all of you with the nerf guns. You're all goin' down.

Some of you may know that Emma's birthday is coming up. Mary Margaret and I are looking forward to this for many reasons, the least of which is that it is really the first birthday we'll have with her. I think. Anyway, we have rented a private room at Dave and Buster's for the evening of October 25. We've got a set menu that you can choose from, and a certain amount of tokens for games for each person. Alcohol and any other tokens are up to you, but we hope that you'll all come and help us celebrate our daughter with us.

Yes, there will be cake and ice cream.

Guess we can look at the Hookers I've already called the cops. They're here, doing what they can already but this is not what I needed. Not that anyone needs this, but couldn't they have picked a slow time?

I'm unsure who to direct this to, so I'll start with you. I've been told that Stark Charities is able to provide loans to refugees in order to help them in starting small businesses. I'm looking at buying the Barking Lot, and the banks that I've been in contact with haven't been exactly receptive to dealing with a refugee, seeing as we do have a penchant for disappearing, often without paying back our loans.

All I need is who I can talk to among you guys so that I can get this started. I really believe that it's important that Potts Tower retains the businesses that have set up shop here, and it's equally important that we refugees do everything we can to see that that happens, as well as putting back into the economy here that we take. I received a letter today. From Lord Anthony Baskerville. I am now convinced that anyone who goes by the name Anthony is not ever meant to be a kindred spirit, nor even a sympathetic one. (I don't count any Tony Stark in this generalization, for one simple reason: they are known as Tony and seem to be, overall, quite the sort of person I would ask over for tea. They, at least, are sympathetic and are not at all like the Anthonys of the world, who are all disagreeable.)

This man -- this Lord Baskerville -- had the NERVE to ACCUSE me of STEALING. And what did he accuse me of stealing, you may ask?

A DOG. I, Anne Shirley, am accused of stealing a greyhound from this person's establishment. And he names you all as "accomplices"! He even puts that word in quotations, just like that. "Accomplices". He CLAIMS that other guests of the Redfern heard a dog from MY ROOM the night we all stayed there.

He wants a reply. I promise, he will get one. OH YES. He will get one.

You know, it was a good idea to get away for a night with just my wife. There may have been a few other people around, but mainly, it was just her.

Although I have to ask: did anyone else who was there have troubles with a dog? There was one who kept scratching at Mary Margaret and I's door, barking and whining and growling. It was pretty scary, actually. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep.

I'm sorry I'm a bear today. I guess I didn't realize that not sleeping was going to do that to me. It didn't help that I got no sleep and scared out of my wits. Strangest damn night I've spent in awhile.

Did you notice on our way back from the coffee shop today that the Barking Lot's got a sign up that they're going out of business? I've been in a few times and Jim never indicated that business was bad.

You know, I didn't really grow up in this sort of world, but because of the curse and everything else that happened, I do have some knowledge of comic books and superheros and things, and the names I'm hearing are making my twelve-year-old self really, really jealous of me. So this is pretty great that I can google people like Captain America or the Hulk and get results that are about actual people that exist, and seem to be as awesome as I remember reading.

But you know, I'm honestly kind of disappointed that Batman isn't here.

I recently arrived here in New York, and my wife, Mary Margaret Blanchard, said that you're heavily involved with the community element in Potts Tower, including the security side of things.
