Well, as much as I like Cheers I am not a fan of Diane. She is.... well, she's very mean to Sam. I think Carla is one of my favorite characters. But the whole ensemble cast is good together.

I like having a dog to take care of, it means I'm less lonely in the apartment.

Things I've learned from watching the most recent episode of the TV show I'm apparently from:

1. Damon continues to be a dick.
2. My life is ridiculous.

So, upon further viewings of Wings I am wondering if Antonio and Brian were in love... I usually notice subtext the first time, I am a little surprised at myself.

What's the saying, something like... You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. Is that right? That's how I'm feeling. Just trying to reconcile these memories with everything else. I think I need a drink.

As of next week I shall be starting to work at the Youth Center as a childcare worker. It's been many years since I have done so but I did always enjoy it. Just very different from being the Secretary of Education then the President... Still I am looking forward to starting. Besides Clara, who else works there? I'm afraid I haven't met many of you yet.

On another note, what books would people recommend? I'm a fan of mysteries though I will sometimes indulge in a romance novel. I've discovered the Kathy Reiches novels after watching the television show but other than that I haven't found much yet.

Private

It's surprising just how much I miss Colonial One and the Galactica. I never thought I would say it but those two ships have become home. Billy and Bill I miss the most though. Since talking to Beverly I've been thinking about him a lot, not that I hadn't before. He might not have been my son by blood but he was as good as. Bill, was a fantastic friend and I suppose in some ways Obi-Wan reminds me of him though the differences are quite pronounced too. It's reassuring in some ways.

I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to this place though between people randomly disappearing and appearing, sudden memories returning of events you haven't experienced... It's far to odd. I will miss Lee though I'm not all that sad about Caprica, from what I had gathered if ever so little was that she was different but then there is so much that I don't know yet. So much I don't know if I want to know...

Well, I found the animal, it was a puppy, that I named Troy. He is very fun, likes to chew on rawhide. It is taking my mind off the fact that Pierce died on my source, although, there could be other timelines, so he could be alive in one of them. That is comforting.

Plus, it wasn't because his actor did. So that is good. At least his actor is alive somewhere.

I've missed home since arriving here four months ago, but this place is rather brilliant.

If anyone sees an animal running around the tower that you don't know, it might be mine. I was given an animal for Christmas, and it escaped out of the box it was in.

Cold weather and a still healing hand: not a good combo. Let's just say after London over New Year's I've figured out how to keep a hand warmer going pretty much 24/7 (with a little magical help).

But since for the moment school is in limbo (least till I get exam results) I'm just working on commissions and actually loving the weather. It just feels a bit more like home.
