I wanted to tell you guys first, because you're family. I'm with child. Both of us are very healthy, and I'm about seven weeks or so along.

Along with this is that according to Cullen there's a Fereldan tradition to ask people to stand guardian over children, in case anything were to happen. I wanted to ask if you four would be willing. I've already asked Dorian this, so I wanted to inform the rest of you.

I've read somewhere that a person can convince themselves of almost anything if they work at it hard enough. However, I think I'm spending so much time trying to convince myself that the weather is not a problem for me, I'm finding it difficult to concentrate on anything else.

I know it's just a little snow, I know it's not all that cold -- but it is... sad. The days are so short it's exhausting and dark all the time. What sunlight there is is filtered through miserable grey clouds. All the trees are hibernating, and really I wish I could choice them. I love for the vitality and rejuvenation of the spring.

Do you do any sort of magical study outside of your healing, Anders?

If I came to you for help with something, would you help me and then pretend the whole transaction never happened?

I've been feeling terribly under-simulated lately, perhaps if you're free I could bother you for a game of chess?

I have seem to have gone and misplaced my shadow. This is a little concerning.

i got banned from a bakery becuz i ate all their free samples.

they were free!

So now all the business with the presents is wrapped up, and the enormous end of year balls have been dropped (Not a word, Iron Bull) are we just expected to... sit quietly and suffer in the snow for the remainder of the winter, or is there something I'm missing, because I can't understand why anyone would want to live in a place where being cold is an expected state.


Although, I did buy these. They're USB heated slippers. So my life, it could be worse. We should have these back home.

I have found my new friends and companions.

That is Felassan on the left at the back with the full mask over his eyes and Ghilan in the foreground. They have, thankfully, not received any of the training so common here and are pleasantly themselves. Equally, their intelligence is untouched and very pleasing.

I have found people look very confused when they walk calmly next to me without collar or lead, though I suspect explaining that I have asked them to do so would only be met with confusion. Still, they are pups and do get distracted at times but they are good about returning to me when I ask.

Forgive me if I thought you did not know how to party. I am gladly and sorely proven wrong. Though I was not quite myself again until this morning. Good party, surface dwellers. You did it right.

It is a wonderful place here, with far fewer gangs roaming the street than Kirkwall. Though no doubt they are here. It is a city, after all, and people congregate into groups. But it's not the same. And much as I have helped people, I am itching to do more.

Good to know most of the crap here isn't nearly as strong as Maraas-Lok. Disappointing as all hell, though, I gotta say.

So...I hear New Year's is a big day for drinking. Anyone know where the best place is to get completely fucked up?

Really Ferelden should get on this television thing. Well, and electricity.

i never want this holiday to end. all of these parties people put on, and no one questions if you are truly part of the business they are hosting. it's so very exciting.
