So, I proposed to Veronica. I was going to wait, but then it seemed like the world was ending and we were facing down a lot of rough stuff... and it seemed better to go ahead with it than wait for the next opportunity, because who knows when that will be. And she must have agreed with me, because she said yes.

Is everyone alright? We saw the white light all the way over in California.

I'm not sure I buy the 'end of the world nonsense' I've been hearing, but I can't say I much care for the potential ramifications of a world-wide white light either. Some of the news theories though? They're are out there even for me.

I'm going to let Edward take a look around the city tonight. I don't think he'll find anything, even if he does insist that his instincts are better than mine. He just dislikes not being able to do anything about a situation as much as I do and I think letting him get it out of his system will be a better solution than having him snarling at me in the back of my head for the next week.

So far I figured out that it ain't non-ionizing radiation in that light, which means -- well, it means that ain't good. Whatever it was probably had an effect on us in some way. Hopefully, it won't be cancer-causing, 'cause that's a bummer. It was world-wide too, so I can just see medical going through the roof. I'm working on building make-shift spectrometers for gamma and neutron radiation, but it's hard with a limited budget in New York City. Does anyone know where the nearest science auctions are?

It's probably not related at all. But my world had an incident with a particle accelerator. Was a huge thing, supposed to provide clean energy for an entire city. Put some people in a coma. Not exactly a bright white light covering half the globe but it's something.
