Rounded out our cell. I'd like everyone to meet Myri Antilles, from the Star Wars extended universe. Worked grey ops in a group called Wraith Squadron, mostly as a pilot. So far as actual ground time, she seems a bit of a neophyte, but we're not a guns and grenades cell.

Antilles, cell mates are Wanda Maximoff, code name Scarlet Witch, one of my Avengers back home and damned good reality warper, and Olivia Dunham, special agent, Fringe Division.

So. Last night was fun.

I shall soon be moving into Potts Tower, to -assist- floors 7&8. I think I could do a pretty good job of this, but I won't list my credentials. I'll keep them a surprise.

I was thinking dinner and movies, my place, next weekend. Would two of my favorite people be interested? That is if they aren't too busy.

It is sometimes very easy to get caught up in the day to day (my own, at present: somewhat gainful employment, editing, living) & forget that I am out of time. Sometimes -- less so. I do not write here as I once would have; I am not, here, what I once was. But I am certain that my case is settled for the best, & I have the freedom now to devote myself to different creative endeavours which I am sure would not otherwise have been the case. Studies of Keats are ten a penny.

The first Locative book is almost ready, a journal of most interesting thoughts and ideas from voices who very much deserve to be heard. There will be a launch party (how could I not?) at Kave in Brooklyn from nine until midnight on Wednesday 12th June: photography will be on display, there will be copies of the book to browse, & I may have procured some rather delightful prosecco for us. If that is not enough to tempt, they also have a piano and a lovely little courtyard; do come!

I'm actually really starting to settle in here. I'm making friends even. It's pretty great, to be honest.

I can't believe you actually remembered

I've learned so much from Tumblr.

Most of it is things I never wanted to learn.

Like how vast quantities of teenage girls apparently want me and a fricking psycho who regularly threatens to murder me to have sex, because of the ridiculous cracktacular TV show about my life. Apparently, our intense disdain for one another is just us hiding our epic love. Who knew.

The internet is made of crazies.

On a related note, why do girls on the internet insist on pairing up guys on TV shows? I don't get it.

It really is June already. Damn. Happy June.

I've kept the secret of who I truly am for the past four years and to suddenly discover someone knew that I wasn't actually Alan came as a surprise. I suppose it might have happened eventually being told I was fictional I just didn't expect someone from my world to actually be here still it is reassuring.

If you're wondering my name is Alanna, not Alan and I've been pretending to be a boy for the past four years to learn to be a Knight as women aren't allowed to train and I didn't want to learn to be a lady.

Are there any investigative agencies or entities looking for an assistant?

I have apparently over a hundred references in our local library.

Not to mention I make a mean cake and have a heck of a swell golf swing.

With school out, that means it's time to sign up for summer school. I think I'm going to take boring classes this summer so I can spend more time with fun classes later.

Our ranks seemed to be thinning this week. As upsetting as it is, it's important to remember there are still plenty of us here for each other. Perhaps we should do something as a group this week. Not training, but something fun. Dinner? Amusement park? A movie night that will inevitably lead to us getting kicked out of the theater?

I've been doing some looking into what is required to be licensed as a private investigator, which I believe would be the first step. It looks like we'll need to take an exam so I'm going to look into that. We also need three years of experience in law enforcement - which we both have, but not here. So I'm going to get in contact with SHIELD to see if they can assist us with that particular aspect.

Oh, and I have my gun permit thanks to you looking into that before when you were here, but I don't know if they gave it back to you when you arrived again or if you have to relook at that? Either way, it probably would be a good thing to have.

I've heard the Elementary Sherlock mention he's got ties to the NYPD and so I'm going to talk to him as well - if he'd be willing to introduce us to some people there that might help us down the road. Who knows, they might even need consultants occasionally.


I've started watching the show too. I didn't at first, but I've been tempted a couple of times and after the memories I thought it might be worth while. It's a bit odd to relive things that happened four years ago. Also, we both look really young.

So on a whim I signed up for a couple of classes - I was looking at them to see what ones I could add, I'm still thinking of tag teaming with Politics which would be fun. I signed up for Piano and Meditation - it's been years since I played a musical instrument, not since I was at school the first time myself. I learned piano and the violin actually it would be good to see if I still have the skills for it.

I know that asking the Tesseract to spare us any more losses is rather like asking the ocean to stop being salty, but one can hope it will end it's rather annoying yanking of people sometime soon.

I know I have not been available as much as the others, but I want you to know that I am here for anyone who requires company. The Tesseract seems to enjoy playing with our hearts and minds, and it is unpleasant. I may be out of the Tower during the day but I am willing to assist in any training anyone wishes to do, as well as any other outing people wish to have company for.

It is a cause for reflection that we've been here for an entire year. To raise a glass or two to comrades well met and comrades past. What a long distance so many of you mortals have come.

I've several casks of what the merchant assured me are a fine Dutch Ale and The Warriors Three plan on building a massive fire tonight out on the metal fire pit near the clear blue smelly water. It's soooo close to the end of the school year. But between summer and now is exams. Which is dreadful. And I've a paper for English I've to write too on... something. I really should check what the topics were. It's due in like a week. Probably about something by some dead guy. I mean really history and english are like frighteningly similar like that. Lots of dead dudes going on about something that usually isn't very interesting.

I should probably study for maths too... ugh studying.

I can honestly say that's the strangest thing that has ever happened to me.

Normally, I start introductions with "Detective," but I'm not actually employed by this place's version of the NYPD. I do plan to look into that, though.

Also, having a roommate is kinda like giving me the college experience I never had. Except that my roommate is apparently Neville Longbottom which is awesome.

Ummmmmm, so the short story is that I had grocery shopping duties this month, and I got a little TOO carried away with the groceries this month, basically had a field day at the Farmer's Market, and ended up using every single fruit and veggie, which means I have SO MUCH of the following:

- tofu with wasabi ponzu, black rice, avocado, pickled roots, and schichimi
- miso-braised wild mushrooms and edamame
- carrot soup with mint, sumac, and feta
- herb salad with strawberry-chervil citronette
- honey glazed apricots with whipped brie and candied walnuts

Despite what Blossom and Buttercup may tell you, these are all REALLY good, but I seriously made wayyy too much for one sitting. I can't eat them all and I really don't want to have to let this all go to waste. They're such perfectly good apricots too. :( Somebody help take some of this food off my hands?! I promise there's enough left for seconds! And you don't even have to cook anything for the next day!

And all of these are REALLY healthy and nutritious. :D Any takers?
