I've been looking at these photos from the prom, and I've got to say that I really love them. You managed to capture the texture of the fabric in what, let's face it, was really terrible light to show off clothing.

I'd like to get together a few more dresses and a few more of my superhero friends who may as well be models friends together for a photo shoot some time. Now, I know you go to college and you probably have a job somewhere, so I'd like to work out something where all of us can get together. If that happens to be a month from now, then it'll get time to make a few more outfits.

Returning to a world one never knew one left in the first place is more or less just as daunting than one would imagine. Especially when one's world is guns that blast a body to unrecognizable dust, crusty old Colonels, super soldiers and more tech than any one man has the right to design at once. I think I may have brought some bunker-dust with me, if that's any comfort (cold, though it may be) ... but that is the world of quantifiable marvel. It is a world that one can touch, a world where one's place is guaranteed and one is a known entity and a recognisable factor.

Here, it's all very different, isn't it? Carving out one's place in the midst of so many extraordinary folk might as well be excavating the ground beneath your feet.

So, hullo. I'm pleased to be here again, inasmuch as it's a pleasure to re-tread one's old steps.

There are quite a few of you I know from my world (hello Captain Rogers, hello Howard), quite a few of you with whom I developed friendships and more still who, I assume, were acquaintances.

Some bigwig's trying to unearth the money pit over at Oak Island; it's booby-trapped and deadly when the tide comes in. Six people didn't watch their fingers and left skeletons for us to find. Should be a good weekend.

I got hired last week and was told I could bring three people. Don't know any of you, but I've gotten to be chums with Google, so if you're interested in beating feet up to Nova Scotia for a treasure-hunting holiday, I can give you the basic information and forward your stats up to my guy if I like the look of you.

Goes without saying that we don't get to take samples from our findings, so don't even think about it.

It's funny - I felt like the first month here I spent a ton of time reading and researching this reality and these recent months have been so full I haven't had a chance to do anything like that. I think I'm going to devote my spare time this week to returning to doing a bit of that.

Do you know, I think one of my favourite things about living in this tower is waking up to the view. It's easy to get out of bed in the morning when I know I can spend it with a cup of tea and the dazzling magnitude of the New York skyline.

Of course, other mornings I pull back my curtains to find things like this and I'm reminded not only of how beautiful life is, but also of how impossibly short.

Is anyone here formerly, or currently, an editor type? I've been writing and I want a professional opinion on it. Would anyone with that sort of experience, or even anyone who's just an avid, critical reader mind taking a look at what I've got?

A poll, my friends. I have acquired a number of beer mugs from the land of England. These are true horn mugs, not perhaps some melded copy, and it is refreshing to see the craftsmanship in each.

What I seek is suggestions of what ale to fill them with - and the best suggestions will be rewarded with your own mug filled with the very suggestion provided. Vulgar suggestions are welcomed, but will not be counted, as the last time I provided someone with Asgardian piss, there were problems that I do not wish to detail here where children's eyes may see.

I rather enjoyed the last evening and am carrying forward the mood. I fully understand what the great cat Garfield refers to when he speaks of disliking a Monday. Therefore, I stave it off with good friends and good ale.

Believe me, I have a frame of reference to accurately judge 'awesome.' And this is it.

Going to class. At a university.

It could be a lot worse (I'm actually really excited). We could be fighting Jeremy Briggs again and I could be flying around trying to disable missiles carrying something that would depower everyone. As excited as I was to put that on my resume, it's nice to be able to get back to all of the other things that I set aside in favor of saving the world. Sometimes I wonder if Whitey (the alien horse who gave me my powers) would be disappointed that I'm not doing more here with the gift he gave me, but if I could talk to him, I think I'd remind him that I don't need powers to do good things and that I deserve a break now and then too. I don't think he really knew what he was asking of us when he gave these powers to us. We were just kids, and we didn't understand the sacrifices we'd end up making. I don't blame him, and I wouldn't change anything at all, but we just didn't know. A lot of people think that this kind of thing is a blessing, and it is in a lot of ways, don't get me wrong, but the four of us lost a lot in the last ten or so years too, and I don't think people really understand that. At least Alex and I were older. We understood more than Katie did.

Anyway. I hope he'd be happy that I have the chance to have the best of both worlds for the first time... ever, really.

So I've found most of my reading has been about as useful as a Earthworm glovemaker.

I was looking through some websites and they've several shows. A few look like they would be very enjoyable. Would you like to see one with me this month? We could go for a walk beforehand and to dinner as well.

I went to the prom and it was beautiful. I told Fiver that it reminded of Fairyland although I've never actually seen Fairyland but if it were real, I think it would look like the place where the prom was.

I'm still taking classes and learning so much but I want to learn more. I would also like to have a dog.

I went out on a boat this past weekend - I don't think Granby would consent to call it a ship if he were still here. It was nice to be on the sea, even if we didn't get far out into the real ocean. I suppose I did miss it. Not as much as I miss flying though.


Which brings me to my next point. there are people here who can fly supposedly. Would any of you be willing to carry me around for a short flight. I miss the wind and my wings.

All righty, I know other people have gone on here begging for a job or help getting one but here's the thing with me

1. I have worked as a bodyguard before. I can and will punch a dude for nothing. My references include Matt Murdock and ... well that's it, really.
2. I cannot CANNOT work retail, I have a temper and superstrength. I don't want to get sued.
3. I used to be a private detective (I have experience with cameras, stakeouts, and questioning streetpunks). But it seems like there's people here much more qualified than me.
4. There isn't a four, I'm just really not into signing up for SHIELD, I turned them down once already.

Also, who are the doctors here? I was told I have to start seeing one regularly. Don't ask, it's just some stupid preexisting condition that I'm really scared about I can get worked out, I just need to know who to go to. I guess I could march down to SHIELD HQ and fill out some forms but this seems easier.
