As per our ongoing discussions here's some of the more promising options for a possible inter tower move. All 2 and 3 bedrooms given the piles of tools, parts and prototypes among other things we have collected so far. But given all the talk of people moving I'm also willing to keep an eye out in case more units go up for grabs over the next couple of weeks.

2205 - (2BR)
2406 - (2BR)
1709 - (2BR)
510 - (3BR)
2605 - (2BR)

But soon we shall act like normal college kids and go see the giant mecha movie as research for our own attempt at building one!

ETA: Want company? It looks like the cube is ticking people off left and right so cue me ducking.

All look like good options. The 3 bedroom ones are ideal but I understand if they aren't all too willing to let us have it at first.

Company would be nice. I don't like this current increase in cube activity

The 3 bedroom would be perfect but it would also put us at risk of a roommate at the same time plus you make a valid point. So one of the two bedrooms then? Give me a number and I'll start the process of nabbing it.

I'm on the way up with tools and journal, we can get some headway on operation mecha.

Yes, and a roommate might prove tricky. We're bound to drive him or her crazy. It's slightly disappointing, however. I was looking forward to a spare room. No matter. We'll deal.

1709?

Operation mecha. I like the sound of that.

We would easily drive any future roommate batty given current projects and a love of late nights especially. We'll deal, we've stared down worse just within the last month.

1709 it is.

Me too, we need something fun and this fits the bill to borrow the expression.

Not to mention the geek speak, inside jokes, and code words. He or she'd always be afraid that we'd be talking about him or her behind his or her back.

Here's to hoping we'll move soon

We really do. Would you like to see it this weekend? Sunday maybe?

You said what I am thinking: the fact we speak fluent geek, the jokes and all the codes would drive a non scientist batty. We would easily freak people out that don't already know how we are.

Same here. I've already started packing up the tools still in the apartment since a good chunk of mine have ended up at your place :)

Sunday since its our day off?

Even if they were a scientist there's a very good chance we'd still drive them crazy. They might understand the geek speak but there's still the inside jokes and codes to deal with. You're absolutely right. We'd freak out anyone else.

I'm just glad I didn't start doing calculations on the walls like I thought about. There'd be no way to move any of that. I was wondering where all these extra tools came from. ;)

Sounds good to me. Days off should be spend doing something fun or inspirational.

The geek speak is one thing but everything else would be a recipe for roommate disaster if we did land a 3rd. Besides we also have our codes for regulars at the yard ranging from amateur electronics repair guy to aspiring mecha builder. We would easily freak most anyone else out.

I'm happy I talked myself out of that large scale test of a couple of projects like I had been thinking. It would be impossible at the moment plus I need to find that bolt come work tomorrow. As for the tools now you know ;)

Exactly, its time we start acting like normal college kids.

Speaking of work another mystery solved: flying car guy from last week turned out to be a car restorer from Queens hitting a dead end for parts to a '67 Honda of all things.

It's best to just cut that possibility out of the equation. Maybe, someday in the future, we can look forward to places with more room.

We'll see what we can accomplish in the newer space. It's likely we won't be able to move again. Large scale builds and mathematical graffiti probably wouldn't be appreciated by the next tenant. Have to admit I had my suspicions. ;p

Even if we're anything but.

Well... I'm disappointed but at least we won't have to try and out build anyone. Our work on the flying car is safe.

Exactly, hopefully in the future we can consider moving out of the tower and into something with more room.

You said exactly what I am thinking once again. Your equations and my large scale builds would make the next tenant wonder (but maybe we can grab that set of whiteboards that just got tossed into the yard come morning to allow for more equations?).

We're not your most typical of college kids but I would not have it any other way.

Operation Flying Car is safe. Any more clues on Miss Plaid Skirt since she was back this afternoon?

We'll make due with what we have now and the room we can get our hands on.

I all ready had my eye on the whiteboards. We can see about bringing them back... and then discuss where we'll keep them until the possible move.

I agree.

None. Although she did try and ask what kind of coffee I preferred and when my days off were.

Exactly, we'll deal with things and keep options open.

I had a feeling about that! ;) As for places to put them maybe the living room since that's where we spend the bulk of our non yard time?

Same here.

Yikes! I had the same thing happen via MI6 boy but I think your instant glare helped.
