Is anyone else ignoring the fact today is a day off and going to go in to the offices? I could use a lunch buddy.

In the spirit of starting the New Year off with the kind of optimism I like to maintain for as long as possible - I hope no one has very much use for your little goodwill gifts, but if you do, I hope you enjoy them.

The only real cure is time, of course. But here's to optimism. Happy New Year!

My adorable, spunky and hilarious son is an entire year old today. I had no idea what I was doing then he popped into the world, and most days I still don't, but my already wonderful life has been made so much better by this kid who gives so much and asks for nothing more than done snuggles and some snacks. I'm so grateful to have him, and to have a husband who was willing to do this with me, and who has been the cornerstone of making this thing work as it does.

Happy Birthday, Noah. You are so loved, and one day, when your old enough to read I'll show you this so you can roll your eyes and talk about how overly sentimental your mom is.

...but if I had to make a resolution, it would be to love myself as much as Kanye West loves himself.

Good to know most of the crap here isn't nearly as strong as Maraas-Lok. Disappointing as all hell, though, I gotta say.

It's very sad of course, but with Wesley Wyndam-Pryce being taken back, we need a new Housing Advisor for the 22nd and 23rd floors! Now, to be fair, we want to open this up to everyone. We're looking for someone who's over 18, familiar with this world and era, and ready to offer support and have boatloads of fun

The start of a new year is a momentous occasion among thousands of cultures. Although it hasn't been an easy adjustment for me -- a sentiment I am certain is a common one -- I am truly thankful to have spent my first new year celebrations among such admirable people. I look forward to what the future has in store and wish everyone a prosperous and happy new year.
