Not quite where I expected to end the day.

I am planning to buy your Christmas presents this weekend and I have no idea what you want this year. Care to pass on any clues? If necessary, I can also provide you with clues to what I want.

And we really should have some family time and do something fun together. It's been a while since we've done something like that.

It is that time of year again. Another year has passed since I arrived to this alternate New York three years ago. From the beginning, I thought this place was the coolest. Superheroes are real and I met my doppelganger several times. I still do, but it would be far better if I had gotten superpowers when it seems like everyone else did. I must admit, that it was a little lonely in the beginning, being the only one from my world. Today, I am fortunate that my lovely partner and wife, Kate arrived and has thankfully not disappeared as my daughter has a few times, and that we have an adorable son. As evidence on the show, our lives here are vastly different from our television counterparts and I am rather a fan of my life here. I hope to be lucky enough to stay here for a good long while.

I know I was asking about Christmas movies yesterday, but I still find it hard to believe that it's December already. It does not feel like it outside. Maybe I'll believe it really is Christmas time after finals.

In just three days, on December 6, 2015, I'll be able to officially say that I have lived here in New York City for three years. We currently live in a three bedroom apartment. I am the housing assistant for three floors. My oldest son -- though he is not here now -- has been brought here three times and has left three times. And as many of you know I currently have three children. As I came to realise all of this I found myself prepared for whatever is next. The number three has for the most part been kind to me and that is cause to celebrate.

A few months ago I announced that my magic school would be closing for a few months. I am announcing today that in early January that Madame Mills School of Magic will reopen. Ironically after 3 months of officially being on break. Should you wish to become one of my students just reach out to me and we can discuss a potential curriculum for you.

I assume they only said "all roads lead to Rome" because New York didn't exist yet. Which is almost a pity, because they have much better gelato in Rome.

I missed who they said was here. I'm terrible at names.

Last year, around the holidays, we all received gifts from the Tesseract, something I've come to understand is a regular occurrence even before then. Though I'd been a little out of practice, I've been playing my violin more in the last year than I had in the previous three. It's not any one thing. I have more time. It's the most luxurious item I own here. And it's a piece of home. What gifts have you used or appreciated most? What would you want to get from home? I'm not much for Christmas lists since I usually forget it even on the day, but at least we know the Tesseract is real, unlike Santa.

I am still having trouble with how exorbitantly expensive everything is now, especially gasoline. I understand everyone gets paid more now too, but is $6 for a gallon of milk really necessary?

The plan this month is to hide until the craze blows over. Feel like it's a good choice to make. Apparently you can order all your gifts for this gift holiday so that should be set.
