I was accused of playing unfairly for carrying my shield with me to the shops this last weekend. But I do think my holiday gifts are sorted. Mostly. And I bought some things I'm not sure what they do.

24 days until Christmas. I'm really glad there's a fireplace here. I haven't had one since I was a kid to hang stockings on. They don't look as impressive on the wall.

Where do you think the best place to get a tree is? I don't want one of those weird plastic ones.

I know I'm not fun at Jedi parties, but I stumbled across this Force for Change. Thought it was worth a look at.

Since I've been here, I have had the immense opportunity to learn more and more about this world and its people. The culture here is not entirely different than the many I became familiar with in my own galaxy -- this holiday season is comforting in its similarities to some of the ones I remember from home.

So yesterday when I was on patrol, I came across this vampire, that was drinking blood out of a mug. Just drinking blood, out of a mug, wearing a black coat just like Angel's and like... I mean, he was fine. It was one of the ones from home. He wasn't bothering anyone, so I didn't bother him. But this place is so weird.

So the alternate universe, grown kids, movies on my life, merchandise, I'm getting a handle on all of that. Weirder things, especially following Skywalkers around.

But being stuck surface side? That hurts.

Having been unable to entirely avoid the advertisements and marketing for the new 'Star Wars' film over the last few months, I realise that I'm very conflicted about it. Being told when I arrived through the Tesseract that I was little more than a fictional character in their eyes made me angry, especially because I felt like everything but that, yet I accepted eventually that it was purely a viewpoint of this planet after discovering how many other so-called fictional people had come from other universes and were still here. Surely they couldn't be 100% right in their viewpoints, since we are all here.

Try as I might, however, I'm unable to accept this new film. It might be for multiple reasons that I can't quite explain even to myself right now, but the one that's crystal clear is that I feel as if they are wiping the very existence of countless individuals away from their minds, purely because it suits them to start again instead of attempting to continue with what has been conceived already. It feels like an insult to those of us who have existed this long, who have lived through those events that they've so carelessly brushed away.
