I watched Aunt Mara keep a fatal disease at bay for months. I should not feel this bad because of anything simple but I can't seem to get any sort of grasp on it. Every time I think I have, it just - slips. I don't know how to explain it. Cilghal probably would, but that's completely unhelpful this morning. I feel terrible.

Well. That is an experiment I shan't be trying again. Apparently this illness is quite persistent and Edward is an even worse patient than I. On the bright side, he doesn't get angry about being ill, he sulks.

Given the rapid rate of progression of this illness, the ESD classes will not be meeting until some resolution to this pandemic is found. It looks like I caught whatever it is that's going around. I haven't been ill like this since...well, long before Justice, anyway. I had assumed I'd never get sick again with him. Point is, nothing I'm doing is helping. It's as if my healing magic has no effect on whatever this is.

And usually, as you all probably well know, I make cookies or brownies, but I'm going to try my hand at soup. Just bone broth, like, maybe with some vegetables? And I'm going to try to make as much as I can.

So, if you're feeling poorly and you would like a bowl delivered sometime today, let me know and I will try to make certain that you get one.

And I will do a smaller pot with vegetable broth too, cause I know some people don't like the chickens.

What do we know about this so far? The last time I saw something that could strike like this was with the Death Note itself, and that had the ability to kill someone, but even then there were different rules involved. It wasn't an all-powerful ability like this one is seeming to be so far.

I have gathered a list of everyone afflicted. At least, everyone who's commented who's been afflicted thus far. I can filter out certain people who aren't afflicted, either. I find it strange that it seems to be affecting even those who shouldn't be sick based on the rules of their universe.

I am going to continue my research as much as I can. I am not sick, yet, but with this trend, I do not expect it long until I am ill.

For those of you who are not ill yet, where are you from? When are you from? What can you tell me about yourselves so maybe we can determine a cause of this illness? I find it hard to believe myself that we all just suddenly became ill at the same time.

I have fallen ill and while I am trying to not let it interfere with my work. But this plague is a heavy one.

I think we need to determine who among us is also afflicted and how this affects what plan we intend to take.

As I may currently be on the brink of death, instruction for the PTYC art classes for the rest of the week will be cancelled unless I can find a suitable substitute.

Instead, there will be open studio time during our usual class hours, and students will be able to work on any mid-term projects they have not yet completed. Assuming there are any students who remain unaffected by this ailment. If I am not back before Spring Break begins, you can all assume that projects will be graded on the Monday we return. Perhaps by whatever instructor they've found to replace me after my seemingly inevitable demise.

It should go without saying, but I'll mention it anyway, that the Potts Tower Youth Center was closed today and will be for the foreseeable future, until both our children and staff have recovered from this illness that has affected so many. Additionally, Youth Night was canceled this evening, and will be so until the Youth Center is open once more.
