I think with a new year, there's always the opportunity for reinvention. And I for one think I've spent too much time dwelling on the limitations of my own circumstances, whether being in this strange dimension or stuck in this body. I think with the new year, it's worth trying to find the silver lining in things. Perhaps that's just the prattling of an old man.

Either way, it probably beats "demon possessed corpse" as far as life plans go.

( Okay, you got me. This is Spider-Dog. He didn’t actually make me swear to keep his secret because he can’t talk, so I figure this is completely legit for a conversation right now. )

As much as I've tried, I can't put into words how wonderful this kid of mine is. Ten fingers, ten toes, Castle's hair and my eyes. He's eating like a champ, loves to be swaddled up and cuddled and I'm irrevocably in love with him.

I hope that everyone had a nice New Year. I rang it in at home with a glass of wine and watching the ball drop. It was perfect. How was everybody else's?

This was the first New Years that I got to ring in with my son! It was perfect....so happy to have him here with me.

You know the grander your parties the more I enjoy Midgard.

I'm looking forward to whatever this year will bring. I hope the rest of my family shows up, but as long as I have Phoebe I think everything will be okay. It was strange at first to celebrate the holidays with just Phoebe and not the rest of the family. However it was normal compared to fighting demons and warlocks back home and I like the normalcy that this place has for me.
