I have surprised myself. I've actually landed a job. Not at the gallery like some people were nice enough to suggest (though god that was tempting) but at an art supply store. This way I get a discount on my art supplies so I can paint and have people marvel at my genius.

So I know this is probably a funny request to make of people who, like, come to this world and are forced to leave everything behind, like all your clothes and whatnot and then you have to find a job here and like, penny-pinch because NYC is hella expensive, but it really couldn't hurt to ask so why not..

I mean, it's still important. If there's anyone who'd be willing to donate clothing, anything at all, and some food, that would be great. Because the whole White-Out Event and being given powers thing could be going easy for a lot of people, especially with people who aren't lucky to have connections to the same facilities that us refugees are given here. Some people have even lost homes and jobs so... I think they ought to get some sort of help from somewhere so whatever you're willing to give would be awesome.

So, uh, Tony sent me an invitation to a birthday party for Harry Osborn. What in the world do I get a kid who has all the money for his birthday? Why am I even invited? Is this what it means to be friends with people like you and Tony, who have a lot of influence? If so, I like it.

Has anyone spoken to Primrose Everdeen today? She wasn't in class today, which is highly unusual for her, and there has been no response to my email, text, and phone call to her. I'm afraid she's been returned to her home, but I sincerely hope not; she's a lovely girl.

Two more things this evening: on Sunday the Youth Center is taking a trip to Hank's Pumpkintown to go apple picking. It promises to be a fun day, and I would like to extend an invitation to anyone who can read this to go along with us, adults and children alike. And finally, on Tuesday the baking club will be making apple pies, apple sauce, and apple cakes from our bounty, and anyone who is interested in learning to make these is welcome to attend. Just let me know so that I will be able to purchase adequate supplies. We'll meet at six in the kitchen on the 13th floor and have a small meal while I explain our method.
