The Doorway: a panfandom game

So I have an interview at one of the bars this afternoon for a bartending position. Hopefully that all works out well.

Soooooo... I stumbled upon some of my own fanfiction.  That... that was an experience.    Daryl's like my big brother, and he doesn't shower, and he's old, and he's kinda mean, and did I say OLD, and I would never  I figured rather than let this experience be negative, I should make a game out of it!  I present you, The Fanfiction Game!  The rules are simple.  All you do is write a starter and then another person can jump in and write silly stuff with you.  It's basically like that game where you continue the story back and forth!  Please play this, I don't wanna look dumb for suggesting this :)

There is a certain amount of dissonance to being in Paris. The people here sound very much like Orlesians at home but have a far better sense of style. And they lack wyverns. At least so far as I have seen. I have not been into the countryside so I cannot say for sure.

I do enjoy much of the artwork in this place, especially the fanart. Some of it anyway. Some of the artists are hilariously accurate.

We did do this. Of course we would. When one can travel to any time and any reality, of course one is going to have a little fun with oneself. Only someone terribly boring would not.

Last week I made my final decisions about the classes I'm going to take. And I'm really, really looking forward for it to start!

The Variety Show is this week! That's something else I'm excited about.

Did you know there's a holiday here that celebrates work? AND THEY GET A PARADE! Mom! Azari! James! Torunn! Can we go? Let's go see a parade!

This is a bit late and Mulder has already got in before me but I've been far too distracted to really do anything until now. As you may know, the tesseract brought our son William through to us. I think I can forgive it for anything that it has done to Mulder and I in the past or will do in the future for that one gift alone.

And as much as I'm enjoying being a mother, I do need to return to my locum work until Mulder and I can sort out what we're going to do business-wise. I understand that the Youth Centre has a child care facility. Do you care for babies as well?

Also are you aware of anyone among the refugees who would be willing to act as William's carer if Mulder and I are called out of the city? Someone we can authorise to pick him up and look after him in our absence. I'm not entirely familiar with everyone here and while I can do an open post to the network, I thought I might ask the two of you first whether you know of anyone suitable.

Friends of Midgard!

I was drawn into conversation with a young woman that I see at the shop of coffee I have come to frequent today about a challenge she had been given by one of her own companions. Being that I have never turned down a worthy challenge in my life I questioned her on it. In the name of charity and service to ones fellow Midgardians, one is to be doused in waters of ice while sending funds to help derive cures for Midgardians who have been laid low by a terrible affliction.

And so I have found myself challenged by my friend and as I have said, there is certainly no going back once the challenge has been issued. Her own companions were kind enough to film our attempt, as well as assist with my donation. I had pondered on what to spend Midgardian money on.

As such I challenge any and all of my fellow warriors.

Okay so it looks like Nico went home, and we were one man down. Or woman. Whatever. Anyway, I stole Violet Parr from Clint Barton so she's on our team now. She's got powers like my sister, Sue. So she's an Invisible Woman, and she can create force fields. It's pretty cool. Be nice to her.

So, who wants to dump ice water over my head?

Also it was my birthday in June and I forgot so I want to have a party now. Who wants to throw me a birthday party?

Sully -- other fella who owns this ranch with me and Pike -- is tellin me there's a girl who lost her father in their own story. Sully wants to hold a service out here to the ranch on Sunday for the girl so she can say goodbye proper-like. I got no objections and I think it'd be doin her a kindness if we was to all be out here for it. Those of us that can and want to. Wash, I know you got to do stuff with your SWORD people, so if you have to be gone by then it's all right. Everyone's welcome out here as long as they need to be.

Might be we could find a way to help Sully out with this, cookin some food or the like. Let me know what you think.

There's no way around it, Angelica's gone. She's not returning calls, she hasn't been home in way too long, and she would at least check in with one of us. That leaves us down one and without our friend.

But there is going to be a window of opportunity for us to hit these guys tomorrow. It's a supply shipment, so unrefined product that isn't completely ready for sale. We need to get some samples so we can figure out just what this stuff is. Maybe even where it's coming from so we can start tracking it down at the source.

Jon and I can provide a distraction. Anya, Bucky, you need to sneak in and see what you can find. There won't be a huge window here and if they suspect something's up then we are pretty screwed. But they haven't had a reason to doubt us.

So... anyone who wants to back out now's the time to do it.

It's real pretty out here at the ranch. I went for a walk after supper and found a nice place to sit and just look at the stars. I miss bein' up there but most everybody I care about is here so it's okay. The place they put us in the city ain't bad but there's an awful lot of people! This feels more like home out here. It just does.
