We have a week until classes resume, and though I know this is following a long weekend, I was wondering if everyone could clear Tuesday and Wednesday for discussion of our regents certification, syllabi, and policy changes as we transition from SHIELD's purview to that of Stark Charities.

I also think we should further develop the emergency schedule protocols. Finals have now twice been hampered by unforeseeable circumstances that most high schools do not confront.

A last point, if anyone knows anyone interested, we have last minute vacancies for Chemistry (4), Cooking (1), Linguistics (3), Magical Defense (3), and Swimming (1). However, no one is registered for Linguistics, Magical Defense, or Robotics, so it's not as pressing to get those filled.

We have a long weekend, and it has been some time since we have gone upstate. I was thinking about heading up to the mountains. It may be slightly busy, but I have faith that we can find a place remote enough to train. Or just make s'mores.

When I first got here, I wasn't too happy to find myself in another place but at least this is my own time which I'm grateful for. I've met some people this week who are a very long way from home in more than ways than one. I guess I shouldn't complain since things here are familiar.

The one thing I can't get used to is people knowing who I am and not only that knowing things about me that I really don't like thinking about or that haven't even happened yet. I went out for a walk yesterday and was practically tackled by two women who were talking about some stuff they'd seen on Tumblr. Stuff that I had no idea about. I tried to explain that I had just gotten here and that this was news to me but they just kept babbling and finally left. After they asked me for an autograph which I can honestly say has never happened to me before.

It's a whole new world.

After what's happened recently at Stark Industry, I am wondering. I know of the bad "things" in my world and at least one other world out here.

What other things could possibly attack us here? As a soldier in my world, we were trained to always be prepared, no matter what happens. I'd like to be as prepared as I could be here for whatever possibilities come my way.

Looking forward to one last "summer" weekend at the ranch and the beginning of the schoolyear. If only Marcus could see me now, considering my stint at the Academy was an exchange for the flagship. But I've discovered I do enjoy teaching, be it on a starship or in a classroom.

The cooler weather is making me look forward to autumn on the ranch. There's an apple orchard nearby and I'm thinking I may look into making pie or cider... if I can manage to keep the horses from eating all the apples.

My name is Leia Organa and I have recently arrived here. I have been considering my job options and I came across a mention of SWORD which I believe you are the head off? Please do correct me if I am wrong. I am wondering what would be involved in being employed by it? I believe working with people closely connected with us refugees as I assume local companies would be more hesitant in hiring us due to the unreliable knowledge of if we would ever unexpectedly leave.
