We have a problem, guys. We went to all the trouble of stopping that truck yesterday and the plutonium is missing. It's gone. And that Russian dude that was ID'd, Aleksei Systevich, he's gone too. I don't think that the fact that they've both turned up missing is a coincidence. We got anyone to listen in whereever you listen to for things like this, to see if he's been spotted?

And can someone meet me at the mansion to re-wrap my bandages? I'm fucking terrible at it. And bring me ice cream since I think Petey's not gonna do it. Unless Petey does it then nevermind. Also some advil. I think advil would be great right now.

Seems like the ranch has a new resident. I've been here over a year and the tesseract ain't sent anyone from home. Guess it's about time someone showed up, even if it's a wolf and not a human. I'm pretty glad to see him. More so considerin' I was about to head out of town for a few weeks.

Anyway, he's a wolf, but he's well-trained and he's been my companion for a number of years before I arrived here. And I sure am glad to see him here.

The Tesseract surprised me with the gift of the portfolio where I kept my Lady Whistledown columns, and there are quite literally hundreds of them. I was nothing if not prolific in my alter ego. And as wonderful as it is to ahve these here with me, the far greater gift was the lap desk that I received for my seventeenth birthday. It is the desk from which I wrote much of my correspondence, and where I wrote my very first column, and many, many short stories and poems that are now lost.

I have discovered that it quite conveniently holds my laptop, so it is still very useful! But I very nearly forgot! The desk holds paper, ink, and pens, and mine are still in it, the ink still good and the nibs sharp and so much better than any pen I've used while here. I felt more like myself than I have in many weeks when I sat down to write a nonsense verse. I suppose that since no one from home has joined me, this is the next best thing.

And as a final word, Pepper's Closet opens on Monday, at nine a.m. sharp. I'm still hiring employees, if anyone is interested.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching The Princess Bride. I was only there to make sure our guests had what they needed for a great movie night, but who says I couldn't also enjoy the festivities? Especially with a classic movie.

France was lovely. I even managed to remember to take a couple of pictures this time but my camera is still packed away somewhere. I'll eventually get around to posting some or just showing them off to my friends who stop by.

I know I can't be the only one they invited to the San Diego Comic Con. I can't believe I told them I'd show up! I was really excited at the time, but now I can't help but fear the sort of questions they'll ask me.

The tesseract gave me my animus. The most recent design Rebecca and I had worked on.

I was in the process of moving it to our offsite location when the alarm signaled. Patient Zero has made another appearance.

And he's brought a friend.

I know not how the cosmic cube so easily dictates the lives of so many, or how it seems to interact with worlds beyond it's own, but all shall rest easy this night for I will seek these answers and seek a way home not just for myself, but for all here.

I am Thor, son of Odin, and know this day that I will use all my power for this task!
