I can hear the fireworks starting already. I mean, they've been starting for several days now but I swear they're getting more frequent. Which I absolutely wouldn't complain about because I love fireworks. But I seriously miss fourth of July celebrations back home.

So, we're really not supposed to buuut, almost every year (assuming that, you know, my sisters and I aren't being bombarded with demons in our houses or something else), I'd orb them and myself up on one tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and we'd just have ourselves a picnic up there while watching the fireworks.

Kind of couldn't do that anymore when the baby nephews arrived but it was fun and spectacular while it lasted.

No hopes of that happening here, though, sorry for anyone who wanted to see that. I might be working that day. Or visiting BBQs and stuffing my face.

Happy Pride, New York. Let's get this party started. I'm keeping track of how many times people mistake me for one of the grand marshals of the parade.

Nothing I do seems to please her I am not one to stifle her independence but I must admit I am wary to return her to her old quarters when Thor, Jane, Fandral and I must remain in Asgard. I would prefer if one of you might be able to take her on and look after her for the time being, if she must be in your realm.

For the first time since my arrival, I find myself actually wishing I had friends.

You know, the last time I was able to watch the World Cup was in 1938, in France, a year before the war broke out. It was quite exciting, being there in person for a good portion of the matches. My wife and I attended, using the time as a holiday and a chance to spend more time in France than we'd been able to before that year. I must say that I am quite gratified that it is all shown on the television now. Perhaps I'll still be here in four years, and will be able to visit Russia to see it then. I've never been to Russia; there's always been too much unrest during my lifetime to make the trip a reality.

I've done my research, and I understand that this weekend is Pride. Well, jolly good -- I do mean that. I'm not able to attend any of the festivities myself, but do know that I'm with you in spirit. It's certainly not up to the rest of us to tell others how to live their lives.

I will say it, I'm not much of a fireworks fan. I don't know why, they've never been my thing. I feel as if that might make me a little unpatriotic? Maybe? Oops?
