Sooo. You know that really awesome World Science Festival that I'm sure you (minus Kaine, maybe, unless he wants free food) are excited about?

Well, seeing as some of the science club members at NYU are volunteering for a couple of things like set-ups and ticket-selling for panels, I got to look at the list of guest speakers who will be there. One of them is Miles Warren.

I'm reserving a study room for Tuesday on the 9th floor of the library and I'll be there from 9am until, well... whenever we get a good chunk of the materials etched into our brains. Yes, you're expected to be there! (Don't worry, I'll make it fun. :D) Otherwise, I'm quizzing you that night. (That might be less fun!)

First you sign-up with Pinterest, and then you're like, oooh nifty, I'll look for cookie recipes. And then you think, oh I should plan my summer wardrobe, and then, oh that's a really cool DIY craft from yogurt containers, and then it's 3am.

I think it's time for an upgrade. In Milan last month, I took a fire-poker to the arc reactor. Bruce patched it up, and it's been working okay. But uh, also I'm in serious constant pain and not telling anyone? It's not "metal inching closer to my heart" pain, but it's definitely "my body is unhappy with me" pain.

You're probably the guy I should talk to about it. Maybe take it out entirely? I don't...know. Replace it. Go for something bold and new? Like a carebear symbol? I've always liked Brightheart. That was the raccoon, right?

Last week, I had the delightful experience of gaining a new set of memories. To say it was unsettling would be an understatement.

I understand this is a common experience around here. How do the rest of you deal with it? Specifically, what do you do when those memories involve others from your world. Do you tell them about the future? Even when it's about as horrible as it can get?

You guys got any idea on the vampire situation? I've been continuing my patrols, but I think I'm starting to be a little bit of a liability. I mean, you can see me coming from pretty far away at night. The fuckers have to have some sort of communications network, telling them to stay the hell away from the Human Torch.

The way I see it, these fuckfaces need to be taken care of, and I'll do what I have to do to help do that.

And what about this Angel. Is he really not going after people? Someone should keep a damned close eye on him.

I know an apology won't fix anything. It won't stop the pain I've caused. It won't bring back the lives I've taken. I'm not even sure anyone wants to hear it, but in case someone does --

I'm sorry. For all the unspeakable things I did while my soul was missing. And for allowing it to get taken in the first place. And for the fact that I spent a week wallowing instead of cleaning up the mess I made.
