Well, my classes are all set up and I'm working on the first class' lesson. I am always glad to have something to do. My school's, well, still deciding what classes to take for the spring quarter.

Well, glad that the Valentine's season is over, mostly because I never seem to have a date. But I'm usually okay with that. It's not like I'm really ready to have a serious boyfriend.

I think I know who left these cupcakes, but I'm not completely sure. But they are really good.

Marriage Boot Camp? That is what passes for entertainment these days? I am completely disgusted. I have so much time free while I'm waiting to hear from Columbia, although I did get a job as a personal shopper.

Meet the newest bartender at Ward III. It's close to the tower and seemed like a good place to keep my ears to the ground. Well there are worst ways to spend Valentine's Day.

I will say that the Catskill Forest Preserve has to be my new favourite place. It's absolutely beautiful.

So, what are the chances that I look like a kid from a TV show? Because apparently I do. It's that face twin thing I've heard about, isn't it? Anyway, there I was, my first day at doggie daycare and I got to take a few of them out for an afternoon walk to help them run off some energy before they went home, right? (Also, this job is really fun. Maybe I'll just work here after high school. Forget college or the Air Force, I'll play with dogs for a living.) And anyway, these girls came up to me, right? And they were like "oh-em-gee, is Luke here, too? Can we have your autograph? A picture?"

So, yeah, I was like SURE! And I signed a piece of paper. And then they were like "Who's Rhodey?"

Seriously. WHO'S RHODEY. Jeez, I'm Rhodey.

So then, they're like "You're not Demetrius Joyette? Boo." And I was like, "Aw, man, no, I'm sorry."

And then I bought them a coffee and came back to work.

Last Saturday was Canadian Flag Day, to mark the anniversary of the adoption of this, as the Canadian flag.


Since February 15th, 1965. She's not even fifty.

Simple, perhaps elegant. Completely unrecognisable to me when I arrived, because when I fought for my country the flag looked something like this. It struck me in the chest, I will admit. I'm not quite sure why. It's strange how the symbolic though insignificant changes can perplex one far more than engineering (social and others) leaps and bounds.
