My name's Annie. I've only been here a few weeks, I think. Could someone tell me where there's a place I can go swimming? The ocean smells bad and I was told it's too cold anyway.

When I was Oxford I remember reading research done on the effects of music upon mood and behavior. They were some fascinating studies even though I by no means read exhaustively on the topic.

Recently I've been reflecting back on some of those studies. The situation of having one's life on a television show has reminded me of them. Once I got over the bizarre reality of watching events I remembered living on television my mind turned to the oddity of having a musical 'soundtrack' in my life. And as I've moved out of things I remembered into things I have not yet experienced, that's been reinforced as I'm certain that soundtrack has influenced the way I feel about events, even as my own memories and associations to the people involved also influence mood and emotion about certain events.

I suspect there's a psychological research study in that, but I'm not certain 'Source Soundtrack Effects on Fictional Characters represented within' is going to pass peer-review standards.

I've been digging around on the Network and I guess they weren't joking about me being here before. Can't really argue when I can go back and see the evidence of it, even if I don't remember a single minute of it. A bit odd, but I suppose I've been in stranger situations.

Ugh, school. I guess it was too much to hope I was going to get out of going. At least some of the classes seem kind of interesting.

And at least I have two more days of freedom. Any suggestions on how I should spend them? Exploring the city, obviously, but this is my first visit to New York, so I don't exactly know where to start. I don't suppose this place has any good tour guides.

If anyone sees an animal running around the tower that you don't know, it might be mine. I was given an animal for Christmas, and it escaped out of the box it was in.

It's a new year so I decided to take it seriously and make a couple of changes in my life. The first one isn't really that big but the second one is.

First of all, I moved into a new apartment. If anyone is looking for me, I'm in 603. A one bedroom is more than big enough for me and I've been taking up a two bedroom all by myself for a while now so this way it's empty for someone who needs it.

The second change is that after a lot of thought, I've decided to put off medical school for now. With things here being the way they are, I didn't want to commit myself to four years and then disappear in the middle of it especially since all signs indicate that if I go home, I'll be going to medical school anyway. Instead I gave my 30 day notice to SHIELD Medical and I'm taking the certification exam to become a Family Nurse Practitioner here in New York. While I was in Asgard I realized that I missed taking care of patients and being an FNP would give me a better opportunity to do that.

So yeah, I took the whole 'new year, new you' thing seriously. I'm glad I did.

Hey, uh... so I don't know how to say it but I wanted you to know I saw you on the telly. I didn't realize it was even your father's show until midway through.

I've kinda lost track of all the people here and what everyone can do in the last month, between finals and the holidays and then basically just zoning out for the last couple weeks. But since there are a bunch of people here with different kinds of abilities and I might not have talked to you before, it's worth asking.

Can anyone fly? Without the use of, you know, a plane. I used to go with a good friend of mine, but I haven't had any company here for a while, and I miss it. It doesn't have to be really fast. Sometimes it's nice to slow down and be able to talk, not just race around.

I'm not much of one for takin what I haven't earned one way or another so I reckon I should be findin myself a job. I don't think that SHIELD and I would see eye to eye but I can respect that they are tryin their best for us when we get here. Anyway, I got the need to be useful so I reckon I'm goin to see about gettin my New York driver's license. Been doin some research and I like the idea of deliverin things that people need to em, things that they might need. I read that I need somethin called a CDL for that, and I reckon I can get the schoolin for that.

Not that I'm not enjoying break, but I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to class. There's only so many tv shows you can get caught up in and only so many tubes of pringles before your body starts crying for something more rigorous. At least I got to beat the new Zelda game over break, that was something productive, right?

Working the delivery service has been really great though! It's nice to be able to contribute so Jess doesn't have to buy groceries every week. When I go back home, I'll have to convince my dad to let me get a job, it's really not that bad.

My name is Lily Potter and I've been meaning to speak with you about the possibility of working in the clinic.

I wanted to train to be a healer in my own world and I'm working on going back to school so I can learn Muggle medicine while I'm here.

So, I don't have any Muggle qualifications at all, but I would very much love the opportunity to work in a place where I'm helping people who are injured.

I can do basic triage with magic - healing charms and spells - we were in the middle of a war where I came from so I had a lot of practice with things like that. There are also some potions I can make - at least two that I'm reasonably confident I can find all of the ingredients for here - and some others that I may be able to make if I can source substitutes.

I'm also fairly organized so I could just do paperwork if you don't want to have me working with healing. I would be completely fine with that. I'd just like the opportunity to observe the setting I'd like to someday work in if it is at all a possibility.

If you don't have any openings, then that's perfectly fine too, but I thought I would ask.
