Lorna was a little unsettled by the whole idea of being in another world, in the future, with a bunch of people who knew her when she had no idea who most of them were. Having Alex there, but older and not her Alex, didn't really help things. She'd forgotten how strange things would get, settling into her life in grad school and letting go of all the chaos that had come with being a part of the X-Men. Maybe that had been a bad thing. She was certainly out of sorts now. She missed having her life make some sort of sense, but she was willing to try her best to make a new start here. And that meant making new friends. Friends like Wanda. She'd been happy when the other woman invited her to brunch, glad to have someone reaching out. If she stuck to only people she knew, even if they weren't from the time she knew them, things would get pretty lonely pretty quickly. So she'd made her way to the diner that Wanda had told her about, checking her watch to make sure she wasn't running late. She paused, bringing a hand up to touch her hair, wondering if she had enough time to go grab a hat. People kept looking at her, something she hadn't had to worry about as much since she'd joined the X-Men. It was easy to forget how odd green hair could be to some people. In the end, she shook her head and continued into the diner. If people had a problem with her hair, that was on them, not her. Going in, she made her way over to Wanda's booth and sat down. "Hey," she said with a smile. "I hope you haven't been waiting long." |
