Speaking of things I REALLY missed about Earth:

There's a new Star Trek movie out. I mean it doesn't look at all the like the Kirk and Spock I grew up with, but it looks frelling AWESOME! I bring evidence in the form of a trailer

You know what's really disorienting? Waking up after really weirdly vivid dreams that you're pretty sure were memories that belonged to you. I haven't been able to get them out of my head, and Nathan's no longer here to talk to. Kind of hating this world at the moment

I understand why you add a day to your calendar every four cycles years. It's a common method for planets to keep their calendars in sync with the seasons.

But could someone explain to me why the frell all the timepieces in here just skipped forward an arn hour if we're just going to get that time back later on? I received the notice that it would happen, but researching this "Daylight Saving Time" hasn't provided any actually useful information on exactly why this is supposed to be a good idea.

I want to talk to the TARDIS. Nine hundred years of time and space, and I miss out on being there when she finally talks back because I happen to have the life that avoids the sentient TARDIS-eating planet. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but still ... it would be a bit brilliant.,

While we may be here for the foreseeable future, I find that a poor reason to allow certain skills to fall out of habit. I would very much like the opportunity to get some exercise, and I expect that Sogyo no Kotowari feels the same. However, as our military duties cannot be exercised here, it would seem that we should fall back on practice sessions. I am curious what forms of martial arts are practiced by those here, and if any may bear similarities to the techniques utilized by Soul Reapers. Our most basic exercises focus on proper use of a sword, but each zanpaktou is unique in what may be accomplished beyond simple attacks and defense.

I have to admit, it's been a little mad having two roommates who are identical, but I'm sort of getting used to it. Even if I still sometimes get Kenzi and Myri mixed up - SORRY GIRLS. I'll make it up to you with dinner or something.

In other news, SHIELD training has been a lot more fun since we got the paperwork and all the intense psych tests out of the way. It's not the Ministry, but I suppose it's the closest I can get here.

If you haven't heard, I have a completely kick ass new roommate. To celebrate, we're having a party next Saturday. Yeah, yeah, I know that's St. Patty's weekend, but who says we can't celebrate both at the same time?

Even with buying clothing here. $18 a day for two more weeks until the last stipend comes in I need to check if it hasn't come in with the new month. They might do things differently. The differences between worlds are really, really odd. In the sense that if I had chosen to I could have entered the Ministry once I finished at Hogwarts. I have sufficient marks not to mention our connections but Blacks don't work for anyone but here I'm without a record of any sort besides a few lines in a book. I don't exist.

I don't even have a proper form of identification since they can't test my wand. And in that way I suppose I have the same status as foreigners and that's annoying and about as many rights, probably. Now I understand in some small way what that's like. No that's not true I'm still part of the high soc

He might have had one of those faces only a mum could love and hid knobby chicken legs underneath his robes, but behind all of that rests a fiend with a habit of eating all of the chocolate in sight and a habit of coercing his mates into doing homework even though the weather's perfect for a pick up game of Quidditch. I have to say that he grew up to be one of the best men I know, and we're lucky to have him.

If there was ever a single object I could wish for, that would enable it to come through the Tesseract, I think I would ask for my motorcycle. I can probably go for a licensing exam here but buying one for myself would require a job.
