This is the third time I have "celebrated" the anniversary of my death. As always, it has been done with a couple of bottles of excellent wine and a deep sense of satisfaction that though I may have died, so too did the Dark Lord. I had never expected to survive and thus I was inured to my death. He feared death and thus it was undoubtedly far more unpleasant for him than it was for me.

I am contemplating the pros and cons of the variation of the Impervious Charm I have placed on the door to my shop. On one hand, my customers are so pleased to walk in the door and find themselves completely dry that they're more inclined to spend money. On the other hand, it also makes them extremely reluctant to actually leave and venture out into the downpour again.

What do you do when you're feeling... remarkably under-stimulated. Bored, really. But I feel bad, claiming boredom.

It seems that people have finally grasped the fact that asking me to brew Amortentia for Valentine's Day will only get them a refusal. I didn't have a single request this year, though I'm sure they'll start up again soon enough.

Actually, given the number of requests I receive in general for Polyjuice, Amortentia and Veritaserum, I can only conclude that fans of the "Potterverse", as I have seen it called, are remarkably lacking in either intelligence, morals or ethics. Or possibly all three.

I like the time between holidays at this start of the year. Each one shines on its own.

Back in Kirkwall, I regularly aided the people walking the streets and responding to cries for help. In this world, the Avengers serve a similar purpose: not part of any bureaucratic organization but there to protect the people when the need arises, when the strange arises. Which of you are already a part of the Avengers? What has that experience been like? And which of you would be interested in something like that? They face their own bias, but it is not one focused in the direction of magic specifically.

For those of you who have been here for quite some time what I'll be mentioning momentarily isn't new. In fact, we may have even had a conversation about it at one point. Or you at one time were a student of mine.

If you weren't around when last I brought it up or happened to have missed it, I started a magic school last year. My number of students has increased and then decreased but never to a point where keeping it running was deemed pointless.

Between my newborn daughters, a son who continues to grow everyday, and a dog my time to devote to more than two students alone has become a struggle. It is for that reason that I am reaching out to you in the hope that one or more of you wouldn't mind joining as a private tutor.

Lessons have always been done based on both student and teacher's availability. They could be one on one or a small group. That has always been left up to the student's personal preferences. What's important is that the student feels comfortable and safe so as to avoid accidents. I began with a basic curriculum working my way through the elements and would then tailor it based on the students own abilities.

Madame Mills School of Magic was started to give those with magical gifts the guidance they may need to gain control of them. It was also started so that all involved could learn from each other without judgement from others.

Looks like JK Rowling is just telling the muggles everything about the magical world. It feels a bit awkward almost. Although, I must say, I don't think I've ever met a student from Castelobruxo.

Honestly, there aren't enough hours in a day to get through work, school and homework. And there isn't enough tea in this city to make up for all the sleeping hours I have to sacrifice. At least going outside in weather like this can really wake a person up like being dowsed in cold wat a smack upside the head. Especially when I'm walking dogs at quarter past six in the morning.

Good, yes, I knew you'd agree: I think that all went remarkably well, for a first lesson. It's been quite a while since I've really set upon doing any Potions at all, actually. So I did feel a bit rusty there, but I think I got into the swing of it by the end.
