It is good to be home. It still seems strange to call an apartment in New York home, even after three years here, but having been back to England, I believe I am happy to do so. The England of this world is just similar enough to have all the differences be quite jarring and unsettling, the major one of which being no wizarding world. Walking through London, going to Scotland and not finding what my mind says should be there was... unusual.

However returning home did have its interesting moments. My thanks to those who sent me gifts for Christmas and if you are very lucky, Tonks, I may share the results of your present with you. The tesseract's gift was somewhat less welcome. I am not certain I needed the Headmaster's portrait, especially as it has retained its magic. Still, I suppose I have been lacking someone to have intelligent arguments with and the Headmaster was always good for that much at least.

So, I think Lilah mentioned that Wesley returned home. And just for the information of everyone on the network Widdershins is closed until we sort that out. If you have magical stuff you were getting from there let me know and we'll see what we can work out for you.

So, as you all know we were kind of using Widdershins for base and I have a key and all that good stuff, but I'm going to have to sort out if running a store is a thing I can do I wish Giles were cause it's not really a thing I've ever done before. Where's Anya when you need her, huh?

So. For right now I don't have classes until they start up again in a couple of weeks so I'm going to focus on like, patrol, and figuring out how Wes left stuff.

So I know today's my three year anniversary. And we all came about the same time. I don't know, I thought maybe we should do something.

I'm pretty sure Steve Rogers doesn't have to take this test, because he probably invented Hufflepuff, but what about the rest of you?

It's Gryffindor, for me. Which, probably the red and gold armour should have been my first clue.

I would like to give some advanced notice that Ophiuchus will be closed from December 14 until January 18 as I will be taking an extended holiday in England and Europe during that time. If you require any potions or ingredients for that period, I recommend you get your orders in as soon as possible.

It is at times like this that I am grateful for magic.

Please note: Ophiuchus will be shut from close of business on Thursday 29th October until 9am on Tuesday 3rd November. I will largely be out of contact for the same period of time. I may be in a position to answer text messages but little more.

Can I ask you a question?

I'm sure you'll all excuse my curiosity, but I'm trying to get a good sense of who here can use magic. While I know it might look different than what I'm accustomed to, I'd be interested to know what other sorts of mages, have happened to this place from their own universe.

Since, as you said, drinking is my beloved pastime and not yours, I thought I might invite you here instead. Surely, you can't turn your nose up at that, can you?

And if you can, you ought to go all the same, because I'm being nice. And you should get out more. You're starting to smell like paint.

I know we've all met cheese platters with a better aptitude for expressing their emotions than Solas, but all the same - I think there's something wrong with Solas. He seems off. He's letting me win arguments.

As anyone else took notice?

The Refugee Supernatural Task Force (and liaisons should they desire to come) are in the Stark room of Sam's Bar & Grill for an Autumn potluck.

Wesley provided lasagne trays with enough to feed everyone. Others are invited to bring desserts, bread, salads, or whatever else they are interested in bringing. The first part of the meeting is primarily for fellowship and getting to know each other better.

The second part of the meeting would be business so after everyone is done Wesley will get up and lead a bit of discussion. There has been quite a bit of turn-over, so he'll probably review the brief history of the group, how they started as a liaison to SHIELD for supernatural tasks, that was disbanded when funding fell through so they continued to work on the side as it became apparent that the Tesseract did not just bring through good guys and that sometimes some of these supernatural threats escaped into the native population and then would need to be dealt with. Currently they are working mostly extraneous to SHIELD, SWORD, and the NYPD, however they have in the past worked with those organizations at certain times and are open to doing so in the future.

He would want to have any suggestions as to how to better share information about the many variations of vampires/werewolves/etc that we have here. He would also remind them of known variations in this dimension.

He will also ask for any suggestions regarding structure of the group/patrolling schedules and if there is anything that can work better.

And finally he would open it up to Sam (if he's there) to talk a bit about liaising with the Supernatural Unit of the NYPD and what that entails.

Now that that's over, I should get my ribs looked at. Not sure whether they're broken or bruised, but if nothing is attacking the tower, I'm going to take the time to have that figured out. It's nothing worth yelling about waiting. I've been injured far worse in elementary school. Don't underestimate pencils.

But boy am I glad to be back to the world of the living, where you can take the elevator in peace.
