Remember how we were talking about academic integrity?
I was contacted this morning by a Professor Engelbert MacFadyen, Astrophysics and Cosmology professor in the Physics department of NYU. It seems his office has been ransacked and a number of his computer files tampered with, deleted or obviously copied.[Wasp (Lisbeth Salander)]
As you already know, the world of academia is as cutthroat and ruthless as organised crime. Myself and Professor MacFadyen believe he was attacked because of his work on the Ecliptic alignment of cosmic microwave background anisotropy. He believes that another professor in his department is trying to sabotage his work and claim the research as his own. I don't know yet if his claims have merit or if he's simply paranoid - it is midterm season after all, and I wouldn't be surprised if a student wasn't just breaking in to try and change a score or submit a late paper, but perhaps you and I should take a look?
How familiar are you with the diagnostics of the University of New York's internal computer network systems?

Out of town until Monday. Told Steve. May want to move Wednesday to Monday.
Hey, I'll be out of Manhattan until Monday. Text me if you need me before then. Don't do anything I wouldn't do.
Out of town for a few days. You've got my number if you need anything. I'm not sure how the reception will be, but I'll figure something out.
» you saw that, didn't you? the broadcast.
