Xander, if you have not seen, Willow has arrived from some weeks prior to Tara's death. While we should not necessarily expect history to repeat itself, she is already asking about her future and since it is so readily googleable, we should probably figure out what and how to bring up Tara's death and Willow's reaction in the manner least likely to cause a reprisal. Although, in the grand scheme of thing, anything that occured since, with the possible exception of Twilight and its aftermath really does not seem so significant to tell her.
This is in no way pleasant news, but, it is kinder coming from one of us than the world wide web. Are you two available tomorrow to discuss this? LIkely with Willow, and perhaps prediscuss it here, now.
Willow arrived, I think that Buffy, Xander and I shall be speaking with her tomorrow. Mind the shop until I can come in, and for now, should she somehow make it there before we talk, do not sell her anything.
As teachers, we are supposed to guide and mentor young people, as a watcher, I was meant to protect them and guide the Slayer. There is so very much to be proud of with these kids--I should really call them young adults--from Sunnydale. They have all come so far and grown into such remarkable young men and women, because of or perhaps even despite the circumstances.
But I sometimes wonder if I have not been part of some great evil done unto them by allowing them to follow Buffy in her destiny.
