I had been contemplating the merits of getting a canine companion however since I have discovered that the company of wolves or wolf hybrids is forbidden in this state, I find myself less enthused.

Last year, around the holidays, we all received gifts from the Tesseract, something I've come to understand is a regular occurrence even before then. Though I'd been a little out of practice, I've been playing my violin more in the last year than I had in the previous three. It's not any one thing. I have more time. It's the most luxurious item I own here. And it's a piece of home. What gifts have you used or appreciated most? What would you want to get from home? I'm not much for Christmas lists since I usually forget it even on the day, but at least we know the Tesseract is real, unlike Santa.

I'm sure you'll all excuse my curiosity, but I'm trying to get a good sense of who here can use magic. While I know it might look different than what I'm accustomed to, I'd be interested to know what other sorts of mages, have happened to this place from their own universe.

I know we've all met cheese platters with a better aptitude for expressing their emotions than Solas, but all the same - I think there's something wrong with Solas. He seems off. He's letting me win arguments.

I have discovered that I had gained employment when I was previously here. It seems there is a small but rather lucrative market interested in having frescoes painted by the Dread Wolf himself. And people wonder why I fail to understand shemlens. Still, I enjoy painting the frescoes and the company was most understanding in regards to my absence and quite eager to have me return. I gather these particular sorts of absences are not uncommon among the refugees.

Ah yes, let's see if I've got it right: a magical blue crystal that no one quite understands has the ability to, when it pleases, pick us up from our universe - place - time - or what have you and bring us here to live harmoniously in a shiny castle in an industrious city.

How absolutely quaint, and terrifying - though not necessarily in that order.

It is strange to find myself in an unknown place and be told I have been here before. I have no memory of that or of this place. So, I am Solas, if there are to be introductions. I understand there are some whom I know here.

I have begun exploring the new materials in this world, its armors and its weaponry. The casting of small pieces of metal as projectiles is a marvelous advancement. People have been injured or died if a weapon breaks remarkably, as in the face of a freezing spell. But to do so on purpose! Bullets. It will change what needs you all must have for armor. But this kevlar has kept few secrets from me. If you have need of protection, please come to me for something you cannot easily buy. So long as I know what you need, I will make you the best armor - or weapons.

Leadership and nobles of Stark Charities and SWORD, my knowledge is lacking in regards to who should be contacted on this matter. The clothing shop in Potts Tower, Pepper's Closet, has an arrangement to receive the excess clothing articles no longer used and not wished to be kept in storage. I would like to make a similar arrangement with regards to other things. Namely, metals and non-metals I can use in a forge or for enchantment. The names thus far involved would incline me to Lady Pepper on that matter.

Further, should it be amenable to Ladies Carol and Abigail, I would like to make a further agreement with SWORD. Should such materials of unknown provenance come through the tesseract, I would like to offer my services first to use the materials to make something of value for you for only the cost of my workmanship. And should any of those materials not be of interest to you, that I be allowed to use them for those it does.

It seems that being known in this world is not an entirely bad thing. I have gained employment with a firm that both restores and produces frescoes for commercial and residential places, as well as for artistic purposes. They have had some specific requests for frescoes like those I have done in the game, as it is here. No doubt these prospective clients will be pleased to be able to receive the real thing. Indeed, I was pleased to find that there is a similar form of fresco painting used here so obtaining the materials I require should be quite easy.
